Follow our complete walkthrough for The Firework Show side quest in Sunset Overdrive, including how to find Just Kim, destroy turrets, and defend the Overcharge barrel.
Walkthrough
- 1Speak with 4Kim at the Troop Bushido base to start the mission.
- 2Go to the nearby apartment complex and speak with 4Kim again.
- 3Follow her up the stairs and clear out the OD in the first courtyard.
- 4Proceed to the objective marker, killing any scabs or OD.
- 5Interact with the indicated door.
- 6Climb to the roof and examine the six doors. The correct door is by a tennis court in the southwest corner.
- 7After interacting with the door, destroy all 8 Pop Rocket Turrets surrounding the area. Their locations are:
- On the wall directly north of the examined door.
- 8Behind the examined door.
- 9Down the stairs to the east of the tennis court, on the wall to the left.
- 10Further along the wall from the previous location.
- 11On the ground to the right of the area down the steps from the tennis court.
- 12On the building east of the area at the base of the tennis court steps.
- 13Next to the previous turret.
- 14On a raised roof area behind the previous two turrets.
- 15Return to the door and interact with it for a cut-scene.
- 16Enter the defense sequence. Kill 125 OD while protecting the Overcharge barrel.
- 17Place Pop Rocket Traps strategically, especially near the three enemy entry points (behind the tennis court, the north ramp, and the east building roof).
- 18Pick up the provided melee weapon at the door.
- 19Stand by the barrel and use melee attacks and ground slams to defend it. Firearms are not allowed.
- 20The first wave consists mainly of regular OD with a few Blowers.
- 21At 30 kills, OD will briefly stop, and you can purchase more traps. Reinforce your defenses.
- 22The second wave is more intense, including a Herker, more Blowers, Poppers, and regular OD.
- 23Once 125 OD are killed, a cut-scene will play, ending the mission.
