Big Brother Sam

Follow our guide to complete the Big Brother Sam side-quest in Sunset Overdrive. Learn where to find and destroy all 10 turrets while dealing with Scabs.

Alright, ready to dive into another side-quest? This one's called 'Big Brother Sam,' and it's pretty straightforward. First things first, head over to Sam at the Oxford Base. Have a quick chat with him, and your objectives will get a nice little update. Once that's done, you'll be heading out of the base and getting ready to do some serious turret-busting. Let's get to it!

Your first task is to hit up a couple of spots in a specific order. Each place you go will have a blue mission zone. Inside these zones, you'll need to hunt down and take out the turrets. Don't worry, they're usually pretty visible.

As soon as you step out and head towards that quest marker, you should spot the very first turret. It's right across the road, smack-dab between two buildings. Take that one out first. After that, we've got four more turrets to find in this initial quest area. Here's where you'll find them:

• Head over the fence behind where you found the first turret. Turn right and look along the waterfront – you should see another turret chilling on a pier in the distance.
• This next one is on a second pier, a bit further down the waterfront from the last one you found.
• Now, backtrack to where you destroyed that very first turret. Make your way left along the water this time. You'll find the fourth turret tucked away in a fenced-off area up ahead.
• The final turret in this batch is on a pier, located just behind the fourth turret you found.

Once you've blasted all five of those turrets, the quest marker is going to send you somewhere new. Make your way north to this next zone. Here, you'll need to find and destroy another five turrets. Be warned, though: this area is crawling with Scabs and Scab Rushers, so try to thin their numbers a bit as you go. Keep moving, and you'll make it easier on yourself!

• Look for the stage that's swarming with Scabs down by the waterfront. You might remember picking up the Flywheel from this spot during an earlier campaign mission.
