Floating Garbage

Guide your flagship through the treacherous waters of Sunset Overdrive's 'Floating Garbage' mission. Learn how to protect it from Blowers and manage health with flaming garbage.

Alright, so the 'Floating Garbage' mission is basically one giant escort mission. Your main gig here is to keep that flagship alive for the whole ride. Expect a ton of enemies, and honestly, you're not going to be able to kill them all without the ship taking some hits. But don't sweat it! The ship has a 'mouth' on its deck where you can toss flaming green garbage to heal it up. Luckily, these garbage pieces are scattered everywhere, so if you get into a jam, you should find one nearby.

To kick things off, you'll need to grab one of those flaming garbage pieces and chuck it into the ship. At first, you'll mostly be dealing with Blowers spewing their green goo at the flagship. Try to take out as many as you can, but remember, finding and returning garbage to the ship is your top priority. You'll find a couple of garbage pieces along the bank to your left, another on the first bridge the ship passes under, and then some on either side of the corner it turns.

After you make that first turn, an objective marker will pop up ahead. This marks a switch you need to destroy to raise a bridge so the ship can keep moving. Hurry over to that switch, grab the piece of garbage right next to it, and then race back to the flagship to top off its health.

As the ship continues forward, keep grabbing nearby garbage and feeding it to the ship. Soon enough, you'll spot a couple of objective markers up ahead. These are also switches that need to be destroyed to raise another bridge. Quickly get to them, smash them both, and then hightail it back to the ship with some garbage to keep its health from dropping too low.
