The Arrival: Beachside Beginnings

Your journey begins on the picturesque but isolated Coral Cove Beach. Your immediate goal is to secure a safe haven and gather basic supplies.

• Step 1: Locate the Abandoned Shack

  Upon spawning, head directly north along the coastline. You'll soon spot a dilapidated Abandoned Shack nestled amongst the palm trees. This will serve as your temporary base of operations.

• Step 2: Secure the Shack

  Inside the shack, you'll find a broken Wooden Crate. Interact with it to obtain:

  • 1x Rusty Hammer
  • 5x Nails
  • 3x Scrap Wood

  Use the Rusty Hammer and Scrap Wood to repair the gaping hole in the shack's eastern wall. This will provide a basic level of shelter from the elements and nocturnal threats.

• Step 3: Initial Foraging - Coastal Resources

  Exit the shack and explore the immediate beach area. Prioritize gathering the following:

  • Driftwood: Look for scattered pieces of Driftwood along the high tide line. You'll need at least 10 pieces for early crafting.
  • Smooth Stones: Collect Smooth Stones from the shallow water near the shore. Aim for 5-7 initially.
  • Seaweed: Harvest Fresh Seaweed from submerged rocks. This is a basic food source.

  Strategy Tip: Keep an eye out for shimmering spots on the sand; these often indicate buried Clams, another early food source.

First Night Survival: The Whispering Woods

• Step 1: Craft a Basic Campfire

  Return to your Abandoned Shack. Using the Rusty Hammer and 5x Driftwood, craft a Basic Campfire. Place it just outside the shack's entrance. This provides light, warmth, and a cooking station.

  Actionable Step: Open your inventory, select the Rusty Hammer, then select Craft. Choose Basic Campfire from the available recipes.

• Step 2: Locate the Freshwater Spring

  Venture cautiously into the western edge of the Whispering Woods. Follow the faint deer trails. You're looking for a small clearing with moss-covered rocks and a trickling sound. This is the Freshwater Spring. Interact with it to fill your empty inventory slots with Fresh Water.

  Caution: The woods at night can harbor minor threats. If you encounter a Skittering Shadow, quickly retreat to the light of your campfire. They are deterred by bright flames.

• Step 3: Prepare for the Night

  Before night fully descends, cook any Clams or Fresh Seaweed you collected on your Basic Campfire. Cooked food provides more sustenance and reduces the risk of illness. Ensure you have at least 2-3 portions of food and a full supply of Fresh Water.

  Strategy Tip: Keep a piece of Scrap Wood in your quick-slot for easy refueling of the campfire throughout the night.

Morning After: Expanding Your Horizons

With the first night survived, it's time to think about more permanent solutions and exploring beyond the immediate beach.

• Step 1: Craft a Stone Axe

  Using your Rusty Hammer, 3x Smooth Stones, and 2x Driftwood, craft a Stone Axe. This will allow you to harvest larger trees for more substantial wood.

  Actionable Step: Open your inventory, select the Rusty Hammer, then select Craft. Choose Stone Axe.

• Step 2: Gather Hardwood from the Whispering Woods

  Equip your new Stone Axe and re-enter the Whispering Woods. Look for larger, thicker trees. Chop them down to acquire Hardwood Logs. You'll need at least 15 for initial upgrades.

  Strategy Tip: Focus on trees near the edge of the woods for easier transport back to your shack.

• Step 3: Repair the Dock

  Head to the eastern side of Coral Cove Beach. You'll find a dilapidated Old Dock. Using your Rusty Hammer, 10x Hardwood Logs, and 10x Nails, repair the dock. This will unlock access to the "Coastal Waters" area, a new fishing spot, and potentially new resources.

  Reward: Repairing the dock grants you 5x Fishing Bait and unlocks the "Seafarer's Blessing" achievement.
