Quartz and Master Quartz are the core components of character customization and spellcasting in Summer Nightmare. Equipping the right combination can drastically alter a character's stats, available Arts, and passive abilities.

• Quartz: These small, elemental crystals are slotted into a character's Orbment. Each Quartz provides specific stat bonuses (e.g., STR, DEF, ATS) and contributes to elemental values (e.g., Fire, Water, Earth). Accumulating enough elemental values unlocks various Arts (spells). For example, combining Fire and Water Quartz might unlock a powerful healing Art, while multiple Fire Quartz could unlock a strong offensive Fire Art.
• Master Quartz: Each character can equip one Master Quartz, which provides significant stat boosts, unique passive abilities, and often enhances specific types of Arts or Crafts. Master Quartz also level up through combat, gaining more powerful effects over time. Choosing the right Master Quartz for a character is crucial for defining their role in the party (e.g., a damage dealer, a tank, a healer).

When building a character, consider their natural strengths and weaknesses. A character with high innate Arts Attack (ATS) would benefit from Quartz that boost ATS and elemental values for powerful spells. A physical attacker (high STR) would benefit from Quartz that boost STR and critical hit rates. Don't forget utility Quartz that provide status immunity or speed boosts.
