Learn about the Rapid Fire Device, Permit, Iron Boots, Pendant, Helmet, and Bullet-Proof Vest in Street Fighter V Part 10.

Rapid Fire Device:

Location: Acquired after completing Area 3.

This device enables rapid fire for the first gun in the game, allowing you to hold down the B-button for automatic firing. However, it does not increase the 3-bullets-per-screen limit and does not work with Super Joe's Machinegun. It is considered rather useless by the time it is acquired, especially if the Rocket Launcher has been obtained.

Permit:

Location: Acquired after completing Area 6.

This item grants access to the neutral Area 14, which is necessary for obtaining the Blue Communicator. It functions automatically. Using the Permit prevents you from using the slot for Energy Recovery Pills, but it is only required for this specific area where resistance is weak. Firing your weapon will not make the guard disappear; the Permit is the only way to enter.

Iron Boots:

Location: Acquired after completing Area 8.

Wearing the Iron Boots allows you to kill soldiers directly when swinging with your bionic arm, instead of just stunning and pushing them away. This item is used automatically. It can be useful, but the system for hitting soldiers correctly can be awkward, often resulting in self-damage and being knocked away.

Protective Items:

Protective items work automatically and do not interfere with accessories. There are three types.

Pendant:

Location: Acquired after completing Area 2.

The Pendant protects you from ONE enemy bullet per area session. The first bullet that hits you will bounce off without causing damage or interrupting actions. It specifically blocks red or green bullets from enemy soldiers/final computers, white laser beams from vertical laser cannons, and choppers' diagonal bullets. It does not stop diagonal laser beams or spike balls. If you leave or die and re-enter an area, the Pendant can be used again.

Helmet:

Location: Found in the secret enemy base (requires solving puzzles in Area 17 and Enemy Field Stage 3 walkthroughs for exact details).

The Helmet functions like the Pendant but protects you THREE times instead of one.

Bullet-Proof Vest:

Location: Acquired after completing Area 11.

This item works EVERYTIME, similar to the Helmet and Pendant, but it only blocks the first shot of a salvo. If the first shot in a salvo misses, you will not be protected from subsequent shots. It is acquired just before the final stage, which has few soldiers firing the specific type of bullets that it blocks.

The Bad Guys:

The Bad Guys consist of well-armed and trained personnel. There are two main types: Enemies, which are regular opponents found in most levels and typically take three shots to defeat, and Bosses, which are tougher opponents usually appearing at the end or middle of stages and require more hits to go down. Some opponents are not part of the Bad Guys army and attack for other reasons.
