Arrival and Initial Exploration

Upon landing on Charles D. Goale, your party will be immediately thrust into a new environment. Follow the linear path forward. The initial areas are relatively straightforward, but keep an eye out for hidden treasures.

• Item Location: Near the first large rock formation to your left, you'll find a chest containing a Blueberry.
• Item Location: As you proceed, before entering the first cave-like structure, check behind a cluster of glowing flora for a Blackberry.

The Verdant Expanse

After navigating the initial rocky path, you'll emerge into a vast, open area known as the Verdant Expanse. This zone is teeming with new enemy types and offers several branching paths. It's an excellent place to grind a few levels if you feel under-leveled.

Enemies to Watch Out For:

• Charles D. Goale Sentinels: These robotic foes have high defense. Utilize characters with strong attack skills or those capable of breaking their guard.
• Flora Beasts: Vulnerable to fire-based attacks. Miki's fire spells or Fiore's Ignis skills will be highly effective.

Exploration and Item Collection:

Take your time exploring the Verdant Expanse. There are numerous valuable items scattered throughout.

• Chest 1: Located on a raised platform accessible by a small ramp to the north. Contains Meteorite x3.
• Chest 2: Hidden behind a waterfall in the western part of the expanse. Contains Sacred Liqueur.
• Gathering Point: Several glowing nodes are present, yielding rare crafting materials such as Moonstone and Star Rubies. Prioritize collecting these for later item creation.
• Private Action (PA): Near the center of the Verdant Expanse, you might trigger a PA with Emmerson concerning the planet's unusual ecosystem. This can boost your affinity with him.

The Ancient Ruins

Your main objective lies to the east, leading into the Ancient Ruins. This area is a labyrinth of crumbling structures and advanced security systems.

Navigating the Ruins:

1. Security Terminal Puzzle: The first room requires you to activate three security terminals in a specific order. The correct sequence is usually hinted at by glowing runes on the floor or walls. If you get it wrong, you'll face a group of Charles D. Goale Sentinels. The correct order is typically: Top-left, Bottom-right, Center.
2. Laser Grid Corridor: This corridor is protected by a series of moving laser grids. Time your movements carefully to avoid taking damage. Alternatively, use Victor's "Shadow Wave" skill to briefly become invulnerable and pass through.
3. Item Location: In a small alcove just past the laser grid, you'll find a chest containing Universal Armor. Equip this immediately if it's an upgrade for anyone.

Boss Battle: The Guardian Construct

At the heart of the Ancient Ruins, you will confront the Guardian Construct, a formidable mechanical boss.

Strategy:

• Weakness: The Guardian Construct is weak to electric attacks. Fiore's Thunder Flare and Emmerson's Arcane Arrow will deal significant damage.
• Attack Patterns:
  • Energy Beam: A slow-charging, high-damage frontal attack. Dodge to the sides or use a character with a high guard stat to absorb the blow.
  • Summon Drones: The Construct will occasionally summon smaller drones. Prioritize taking these out quickly as they can stun your party.
  • Area-of-Effect Shockwave: When its health drops below 50%, it will unleash a powerful AoE shockwave. Have Miki or another healer ready to cast "Faerie Healing" or use Resurrection Elixirs.
