Welcome to Faykreed! This chapter marks a significant shift in your journey, introducing vast new environments, formidable challenges, and invaluable resources. Prepare for extensive exploration and intense combat as you navigate this untamed world. Your primary objective upon landing is to reach the Central Resulian Plains and eventually the city of Central Resulia, not Myiddok, which was visited much earlier in your adventure.

Arrival at the Landing Zone & Initial Exploration

Upon a somewhat turbulent landing on Faykreed, you'll find yourself in a dense, alien jungle environment. Your immediate objective is to regroup, gather information, and proceed towards the nearest major settlement.

• Landing Zone (Faykreed Jungle - West): After the cinematic, you'll be in a small, enclosed area.
• Follow the Path: From your landing point, head east along the winding jungle path. Keep a keen eye out for shimmering resource nodes and hidden treasure chests.
• First Encounters: You will immediately encounter new enemy types unique to Faykreed. Be prepared for aggressive flora and fauna. Adapt your battle strategies accordingly, focusing on elemental weaknesses and crowd control.
• Treasure Chest (Initial Area): Before leaving the immediate vicinity of your landing point, search near a large, gnarled tree to the south of the path for a chest containing Blueberries x3.
• Resource Nodes: Harvest Faykreed Herbs and Jungle Vines from the glowing nodes scattered throughout this initial jungle section. These are crucial for early-chapter crafting.

Traversing the Faykreed Jungle & Central Resulian Plains

The Faykreed Jungle is dense and leads directly into the expansive Central Resulian Plains. Both areas are teeming with both dangers and opportunities. Take your time to explore thoroughly, as many valuable items and side quests can be found off the main path.

Key Locations & Items:

• Abandoned Research Outpost (Faykreed Jungle - East): As you emerge from the initial jungle path, you'll discover the ruins of an old research outpost.
  • Chest 1: Inside a partially collapsed building, find Blackberries x2.
  • Chest 2: Behind the main structure, hidden amongst some overgrown foliage, is a chest containing a Strength Potion.
  • Data Log: Interact with a flickering terminal inside the outpost for a lore entry providing context on Faykreed's past.
• Central Resulian Plains Entry: Exiting the jungle, you'll enter the vast plains. The path here widens considerably.
• Northern Ridge Overlook: Ascend the northern ridge of the plains for a panoramic view and a chest holding a Defense Potion. Be wary of stronger, flying enemies in this elevated area.
• Resource Nodes (Plains): The plains are rich with harvesting points. Prioritize gathering Iron Ore, Faykreed Herbs, and the new Resulian Crystal, which will be crucial for advanced crafting later.
• Side Path to the East (Resulian Gorge Entrance): There's a small, winding path leading east that often hides a chest with Rune Metal, a valuable material for weapon upgrades. This path eventually leads to the Resulian Gorge, a later area.

New Enemy Types & Combat Tips:

Expect to encounter several new foes. Here are some common ones and strategies:

• Faykreed Raptor: Fast, agile beasts. They often attack in packs. Prioritize taking them down quickly with single-target attacks or stun them with status effects. Weak to Wind.
• Jungle Treant: Slow but heavily armored plant-like creatures. They have high physical defense. Use magic attacks, especially Fire, to exploit their weakness. Break their guard to open them up to physical damage.
• Resulian Golem: Large, stone automatons. Immune to most status effects. Focus on breaking their guard with heavy attacks and exploiting their Earth weakness (if applicable, check their weaknesses in battle).
• Combat Strategy:
  • Group Management: Many enemies here appear in groups. use area-of-effect (AoE) skills from characters like Fidel or Miki to control crowds and prevent your party from being overwhelmed.
  • Elemental Exploitation: Pay close attention to enemy weaknesses displayed during battle. Switching to characters or spells that exploit these can drastically shorten encounters.
  • Healing & Buffs: Keep your healers (Miki, Fiore) active and consider setting up tactical skills that prioritize healing when HP drops below a certain threshold. use buffs (Attack Up, Defense Up) before engaging tougher groups.

The Road to Central Resulia

Your ultimate destination in this initial phase of Chapter 7 is the bustling city of Central Resulia. The path there will lead you directly through the heart of the Central Resulian Plains.

• Follow the Main Road: A clearly defined, paved road will eventually appear, guiding you directly towards Central Resulia. This road is less prone to random enemy encounters than the open plains.
• Mid-way Chest (Resulian Outpost Ruins): Along this road, before reaching the city gates, you'll pass by some more ancient ruins. Locate a chest containing a Sage's Stone, a rare and useful item for crafting or selling.
• Approaching Central Resulia: As you get closer, the enemy encounters might become slightly more frequent, featuring stronger variants of the plains enemies. Ensure your party is well-rested and stocked with healing items.
• Key NPC Encounter: As you near the city gates, you'll encounter a distraught Resulian Guard Captain who will provide critical information about the current political climate and the reason for the city's heightened security. This triggers a short cutscene.

Entering Central Resulia

Upon entering Central Resulia, a significant cutscene will trigger, advancing the main story and introducing new plot elements. Take this opportunity to resupply, upgrade your gear, and prepare for the next leg of your journey.

• Inn (The Resulian Respite): Rest at the Inn to fully restore HP and MP. This is also a good place to save your game.
• Shops (The Grand Bazaar): Visit the various shops in the Grand Bazaar.
  • Weapon Shop: You'll find new weapons and armor specifically designed for Faykreed's challenges. Consider upgrading your main damage dealers' weapons and your tanks' armor.
  • Item Shop: Stock up on Blueberries, Blackberries, Resurrection Elixirs, and new status-curing items like Antidotes and Paralysis Cures.
  • Accessory Shop: Look for accessories that boost elemental resistances or provide stat bonuses against specific enemy types encountered on Faykreed.
• Item Creation Terminal (Resulian Craftsman's Guild): If you have gathered enough materials (especially Resulian Crystal and Rune Metal), check the Item Creation terminal. You might be able to synthesize new, powerful items or equipment that will give you a significant edge. Prioritize new armor or accessories.
• Private Actions (PAs): Explore Central Resulia thoroughly for any available Private Actions with your party members. Look for the distinctive exclamation marks on your mini-map.
