Walkthrough

    First things first, after grabbing those last few gems on the stairs, you'll find Revilo just before the Jacques fight. He's got a pretty funny line about aiming high but watching out for flying boxes – a hint for what's coming!

    Now, for Jacques. This guy is basically a Jack-in-the-box, but he's throwing the boxes at you. The key here is to get close quickly because he throws those boxes really fast. You might be able to charge through them, but I wouldn't risk it.

    Once you get close, he'll fly off. Jump up the step and then the platform to where he reappears. He'll be on a box platform, throwing smaller boxes. To make him move on, you need to jump and quickly flame him.

    Jump up the next platform and onto the ledge, then glide to the next island. He'll fly onto another cube platform – jump and flame him again.

    A platform will raise after you hit him. Jump up there and glide over to the whirlwind platform. Let it whisk you away to Jacques's current location.

    Approach him on this island, and he'll fly off again. The platform ahead will lower. Glide to it, then make one final glide to Jacques. He'll be throwing boxes really fast here, so I suggest a curved glide rather than a straight one. Don't curve too much, though – hitting the lava below means restarting the whole battle!

    When you reach him, give him one last flame for the win! You'll snag 75 gems. That was probably the hardest boss in the game, but you handled it!

    Good job! Jump onto the platform, turn around, and glide to the whirlwind platform. It'll take you to the last 75 gems right before the exit.

    Time to move on! Outside, turn right and go along the bridge. Talk to the balloonist. If you have at least 6000 gems, he'll fly you to Gnasty's World.

    Welcome to Gnasty's World! This is the final area, and while it's short, it can be pretty tough. This section will cover collecting the remaining 3500 gems and freeing the last 6 dragons across the five levels here: Home, Gnorc Cove, Twilight Harbour, Gnasty Gnorc, and Gnasty's Loot.

    We start in Gnorc Nexus (Home). It's a homeworld, and you need 6000 Gems to enter. It has 200 Gems and 2 Dragons. Enemies are Rats. This is the shortest level ever, split into four parts.

    You'll land on a metal platform in murky water. Grab 20 gems between the purple and green dragon heads.

    Go between the purple and yellow heads for 8 gems.

    Smash the three wooden chests between the two heads for 15 gems.

    Continue around the platform until you reach the bridge with the balloonist. Grab 7 gems across it.

    Finally, smash the three metal chests for another 15 gems. That's all the gems in this section!

    Delbin Alert: You'll find Delbin in the middle of the level. He'll point out you've freed him before and mention you're ready for Gnasty Gnorc. This is common in Gnasty's World – dragons freed earlier get trapped again. So, technically, there are 74 dragons to free in total.

    The balloonist here only takes you to previously visited areas. The dragon heads are portals to other levels. The first one on the left opens after you beat the level to its left ('Gnorc Cove'). The next one opens after that.

  • Don't get too close to Jacques when he's throwing boxes; focus on dodging and timing your flame attacks.
  • For the curved glide to Jacques at the end, aim for him directly but use the curve to avoid the rapid box throws.
