Discover all chest types and level formats in Spyro Reignited Trilogy, from Wooden Chests to Flight levels.

Chests:

  • Wooden Chests: Common, red and beige. Any attack breaks them, revealing a random gem.
  • Metal Chests: Shiny metal, similar size to Wooden Chests. Any attack except the standard flame breaks them, revealing a random gem.
  • Colour-topped Chests: Appear randomly. Wooden bottom, randomly colored top. The top color indicates the gem color inside. Flame or charge to make the gem jump out, then jump on it to catch it and break the chest. Advanced attacks destroy them instantly.
  • Strong Chests: Rare, cuboid metal chests with chains. Require advanced attacks (supercharge, powerflame) to open, releasing multiple gems.
  • Locked Chests: Rare, similar to Strong Chests but with a lock. Require a key found within the level to open. Can be destroyed with advanced attacks, but keys are usually needed.
  • Life Chests: Fairly common, purple with eyes. Contain a single extra life. Any attack breaks them, but charging causes a rebound.

Levels:

Levels are connected by portals in home levels and 'Return Home' vortices in non-home levels. You can also use the START menu to 'Exit Level', though data may not be saved until using the vortex. Balloonists in home levels allow travel to other worlds if requirements are met.

There are 35 levels in Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

  • Home Levels: Starting points for the game and each world. Link to all other levels in the world and other home worlds. Generally safe with basic enemies. There are 6 home levels.
  • Regular Levels: Main levels accessed via home worlds. Most are open upon reaching the world. Main sources of collectibles, challenges, and enemies. Feature a 'Return Home' vortex at the end. There are 17 regular levels.
  • Flight Levels: Part-bonus, timed challenges found in each world (except the last). You fly freely to destroy 32 obstacles within a time limit, gaining extra time for each destroyed obstacle. Each contains 300 gems as rewards (60 for every 8 destroyed in a round, plus 60 for destroying all 32). There are 5 flight levels.
  • Boss Levels: Accessed near the end of home levels, usually ready to open. Similar to Regular levels, culminating in a boss fight after freeing a dragon. There are 6 boss levels.
  • Bonus Levels: Super secret. There is only 1 bonus level.
Tips
  • Charge Wooden and Metal Chests for a quick break.
  • Use advanced attacks like Powerflame or Supercharge on Strong and Locked Chests for maximum gem rewards.
  • Flight levels are optional if you are not aiming for 100% gem collection.
  • Always look for keys in the level if you encounter a Locked Chest.
  • Life Chests are crucial for extending your playtime, especially in challenging areas.
