Part 6

Learn how to save your progress, navigate the start menu options like sound and camera, and understand the structure of the six worlds in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!.

This section covers essential game mechanics including saving and loading, navigating the start menu, and an overview of the game's worlds.

Saving & Loading:

1. The game features 80 dragons to free across all levels.
2. Freeing a dragon creates a checkpoint on its platform. Dying in a level respawns you at the last freed dragon platform.
3. Standing on a dragon platform allows you to interact with a red fairy to Save, Replay Dragon, or Continue.
4. Saving records your overall progress on your chosen file.
5. To load your game, select the file from the Title Screen and choose 'Load'.

Start Menu:

Pressing the START button pauses the game and brings up the following options:

• Continue: Resumes the game from where you paused.
• Options: Opens a sub-menu to adjust:
  • Sound Effects volume
  • Music Volume
  • Speaker Setup (Stereo/Mono)
  • Vibration (on/off)
  • Camera Mode (Active/Passive)
  • Screen Adjust (Horizontal/Vertical positioning)
• Inventory: Displays your collected items:
  • HUD showing total gems, dragons, and completion percentage.
  • Dragon egg checklist.
  • List of visited levels with collected gems, dragons, and eggs per level, organized by world.
  This screen can also be accessed by pressing the SELECT button.
• Exit Level/Quit Game:
  • In Regular, Flight, Boss, or Bonus worlds, this option is 'Exit Level' and returns you to the homeworld.
  • In a homeworld, this option is 'Quit Game' and returns you to the Title Screen after confirmation.

The Six Worlds:

The game contains five Dragon Worlds and one Gnorc World. Each Dragon World has six levels, and the Gnorc World has five. Balloonists in each world's home level allow travel between worlds if requirements are met.

• Artisans World: Home to gentle dragons focused on culture and beauty. Home: Artisans Home. Levels include Stone Hill, Dark Hollow, Town Square, Sunny Flight, and Boss: Toasty. Contains 1000 Gems, 16 Dragons, 2 Dragon Eggs.
• Peace Keepers World: Home to large, powerful dragons who enforce order. They live in desert, tar pit, and ice-cave environments.
