Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Part 10 covers Stone Hill, including gem collection, freeing dragons, and rescuing a dragon egg from an Egg Thief.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
Open the four metal chests containing 14 gems (total).
  2. 2
Run alongside the beach wall to collect two green gems and a red gem.
  3. 3
Enter the whirlwind to return to the vortex area.
  4. 4
Go back through the last room and to the starting area.
  5. 5
Find the well next to the hill in the middle and jump in to find a hidden area.
  6. 6
Collect three loose gems alongside a wall in the hidden area.
  7. 7
Approach the chest opposite the gems in the well to unlock it, rewarding about 10 gems.
  8. 8
Speak to Gavin, who reminds you to feed Sparx butterflies if he's off color.
  9. 9
Take the whirlwind out of the well.
  10. 10
Go straight ahead towards the third and final tunnel.
  11. 11
Follow the tunnel, collecting 3 gems along the way.
  12. 12
In the larger area, go clockwise to collect a loose red gem by a large stump.
  13. 13
Collect a green gem from the chest next to the stump.
  14. 14
Defeat the first Ram for 5 gems.
  15. 15
Get the chest ahead for a purple gem.
  16. 16
Defeat another Ram for a green gem.
  17. 17
Defeat the two Shepards, being careful as they are agile and use kungfu moves; flame them when they are not using their shields. Collect a green gem from each.
  18. 18
Defeat the next Ram for 2 gems and collect the 5 red gems beside it.
  19. 19
Collect a purple gem from the metal chest along the nearby wall.
  20. 20
Return to near the first Shepard and defeat the last Ram and Shepard for 7 more gems.
  21. 21
Before going up the whirlwind in the tower, check the area for any more gems.
  22. 22
Collect the purple and red gems up top.
  23. 23
Speak to Gildas on top of the tower in the middle of the area through the right-most tunnel; he will explain that gliding at the peak of your jump allows for a longer glide.
  24. 24
Collect two red gems on the hills in the near distance behind Gildas.
  25. 25
Use the gliding tip to glide to the vast hill area of Stone Hill.
  26. 26
Go left along the hill to collect three more gems on the edge of the cliff.
  27. 27
Continue ahead until you see a blue thing in the distance.
  28. 28
Approach the Egg Thief on the hills surrounding the biggest low area of the level.
  29. 29
Charge after the Egg Thief, using jumps while charging to speed up. Flame him when close enough to catch him and retrieve the egg.
  30. 30
Continue around the hills until you find a big stone structure.
  31. 31
Jump onto the outer wall to get a green gem.
  32. 32
Collect 4 gems by charging around the inner rim of the stone structure.
  33. 33
Exit the stone structure from the opposite side and go into the clump of trees for a green and red gem.
  34. 34
Find a red gem behind a tree.
  35. 35
Collect two more gems between another two trees.
  36. 36
Collect two green gems, one in a wooden chest.
  37. 37
Exit through the 'Return Home' vortex.
  38. 38
Upon returning to Artisans Home, go into the bushed area and round into Dark Hollow.
  39. 39
In Dark Hollow, go ahead and then right around the platforms to find a Gnorc Rodelero.
  40. 40
When the Gnorc Rodelero covers itself with its shield, charge it; when it is shieldless, flame it quickly before it stabs you.
Tips
  • Flame works best against Shepards.
  • Jumping while charging speeds you up when chasing the Egg Thief.
  • It is easier and safer to flame the Egg Thief when you get close enough rather than trying to charge him until hit.
  • An invisible barrier prevents access to the huge landscape.
  • Exiting via the START menu can cause problems; use the 'Return Home' vortex.
  • The Gnorc Rodelero is a Class C enemy with a shield, making it invulnerable to flame attacks when covered.
  • 4 Dragons Freed (total 4/4)
  • 1 Dragon Egg Rescued (total 1/1)
  • 200/200 Gems Collected
  • Level Complete
