Complete the HOBGOBLIN (2) challenges in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, including smashing Hobgoblin into objects and finding all Hidden Spiders.
Walkthrough
- 1Cosmetic Surgery: Smash Hobgoblin 4 times into things during freefall. This is best done during the opening freefall, which is the longest and has the most hazards. Catch up to Hobgoblin, grab onto his back, and steer him into hazards like support beams and pipes. Do not punch him, as this will weaken him and make him knock you off faster.
- 2Freefall Fury: Punch Hobgoblin 25 times during freefall. This challenge must wait for the level's second freefall. You can get around half the punches during the first freefall after completing the first challenge, with the rest easily picked up during the last one.
- 3Who's Laughing Now?: Win the first fight against Hobgoblin. This is a storyline progression objective.
- 4Crow's Nest: Land on one of the high antennas in a monorail section. On either side of the highway are monorail sections with tall towers. Web Swing towards a tower, hold A for a speed boost, and Web Zip to the top of an antenna.
- 5Bench Press: Hit 5 Public Eye Patrol officers with benches. In the hallway after defeating the first batch of P.E.P. officers, pick up benches with B and toss them at enemies. There are more than five enemies and the benches do not break.
- 6Spider Collector: Find ALL of the Hidden Spiders. There are 8 Hidden Spiders to find:
- 1. On a balcony above and to the right of the first building you enter after defeating the first few P.E.P. officers. Web Zip up to the balcony.
- 72. Inside the bench-infested hallway, climb onto the blue circle above the doorway.
- 83. On the roof of the small dome on the left side of the platform in the area where you learn about Accelerated Vision. This can be reached during the second fight against Hobgoblin.
- 94. After climbing the broken elevator shaft following the second Hobgoblin fight, crawl along the edge of the platform with Spider-Sense activated before entering the next chamber.
- 105. In the room after the third Hidden Spider, crawling on a blue circle above a door on the left side of the room. Collect this before killing the final enemy to avoid triggering a cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically) and checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death).
- 116. After the third fight against Hobgoblin, Web Swing up to one of the large archways directly above the roof arena, then Web Zip across to the arch above the building.
- 127. Inside the room after finding the sixth Hidden Spider, climb onto the ceiling.
- 138. In the corridor just before the final battle against Hobgoblin. After exiting the room with the seventh Hidden Spider, Web Swing onto a wall, climb up and onto the ceiling. Position yourself directly above the center of the arch near the ceiling and press A to drop down.
Tips
- For Cosmetic Surgery, if you fail, you can simply restart the level.
- For Cosmetic Surgery, refrain from punching Hobgoblin to avoid being knocked off faster.
- For Spider Collector #5, if you kill the final enemy in the room, you will trigger a cutscene and a checkpoint, preventing you from restarting before it and forcing you to play the entire level over.
- For Spider Collector #8, you cannot Web Zip or climb onto the arch where the spider is, making it difficult to snag.
