Learn about Dr. Eggman's army, the Eggman Empire, and its leaders like Infinite, Metal Sonic, Chaos Zero, Shadow, and Zavok in Sonic Forces.
Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Ivo Robotnik)
Dr. Eggman is a mad scientist bent on world domination. His initial plan involved capturing animals to power robots for his army. Currently, his goal is to establish Eggman Land as his base of operations. Despite 25 years, Sonic and his friends continue to thwart his plans. In Sonic Forces, Eggman has seemingly defeated Modern Sonic and conquered 99% of the world with Infinite's help, achieving this within 6 months.

Orbot & Cubot
Orbot and Cubot are robots created by Dr. Eggman to assist with his projects. Orbot is the more intelligent of the two and, despite his dislike for working for Eggman, he does care about him. Cubot is clumsy, prone to breakdowns, and often causes problems, leading to him being reprimanded more than Orbot. In Sonic Forces, Orbot and Cubot are among the few who know the secrets behind Infinite's power and can hover and fly.

Infinite
Infinite is Dr. Eggman's newest ally, possessing various powers that enabled Eggman to defeat Modern Sonic and conquer 99% of the world in just 6 months. There is a familiarity to his powers.
Metal Sonic
Metal Sonic is a robotic duplicate of Sonic created by Dr. Eggman. While Eggman has created many robot Sonic versions, starting with Silver Sonic Mk.I, the Metal Sonic model is used more frequently. Metal Sonic possesses all of Sonic's moves and abilities, along with his own robotic techniques. Unlike other Sonic robots, Metal Sonic persistently challenges Sonic after defeats, even disobeying and betraying Dr. Eggman. In Sonic Forces, Metal Sonic returns to aid in defeating Modern Sonic and leading the Eggman Empire globally.

Chaos Zero
Chaos is a water-based creature that served as an early guardian of the Master Emerald, Chaos Emeralds, and Chao. Originally a Chao, it transformed after prolonged exposure to the Master Emerald. By absorbing Chaos Emeralds, Chaos changes form and gains abilities, with its name reflecting the number of Emeralds absorbed. Dr. Eggman attempted to use Chaos as a weapon to destroy Station Square and turn it into Eggman Land, but Sonic and his allies intervened. Chaos Zero is Chaos's normal form, lacking any absorbed Chaos Emeralds, allowing it to attack by stretching its arms and escape by becoming a puddle. Its head is its weak point. In Sonic Forces, Chaos Zero has returned and is aiding Eggman once again.
First Game Appearance: Sonic Adventure (September 9, 1999)
Shadow the Hedgehog
Shadow was created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, Dr. Eggman's grandfather, as the ultimate lifeform. After saving the planet twice, Shadow joined G.U.N. (Guardian Units of Nations). While not as fast as Sonic, Shadow possesses all of Sonic's moves along with Chaos powers like Chaos Control, Chaos Spear, and Chaos Blast. In Sonic Forces, Shadow was initially fighting against Dr. Eggman with Team Dark, but is now inexplicably helping him again.

Zavok the Zeti
Zavok leads the Deadly Six, a group of six Zeti from the Lost Hex. Dr. Eggman previously enslaved the Deadly Six using a Cacophonic Conch to force them into his service. After Sonic removed the conch, they revolted and attempted to destroy Sonic's world using Eggman's technology. Zavok is strong, cunning, and can mentally control machines. In Sonic Forces, Zavok's presence and reasons for working with Eggman again, along with the whereabouts of the other Deadly Six, are questioned.
