Alright, let's talk about your character in Sonic Forces! You know, the one you create yourself. They're officially called the Avatar, but you'll also hear them referred to as the Custom Hero, Custom Character, Rookie, or even Gadget. It's pretty cool because you get to decide exactly what they look like. When you're setting up your character, you'll get to pick their species. You've got seven options to choose from: bear, bird, cat, dog, hedgehog, rabbit, or wolf. Beyond that, you can tweak their gender, headgear (upper, middle, and lower), gloves, shoes, accessories, bodysuit, eye style, and skin color. It's all about making your hero unique! This custom hero starts as just an ordinary citizen who gets swept up in the War to Take Back the Planet. After fighting for months, they join the Resistance as a new recruit. Even though they might not have been the bravest at first, their heroism really shines through, and they end up becoming a super important part of the team, working alongside heroes like Sonic the Hedgehog and helping to take back the world from Doctor Eggman. You'll be undertaking critical missions, like attacking Eggman's weapon factories and rescuing civilians, so get ready to step up! Your Avatar also pops up in a few other places, like the "Sonic Forces: Moment of Truth" digital comic, the IDW Sonic comics, and even in games like Shadow Generations. They're also set to be a playable character in Sonic Rumble.
