Yuito Sumeragi: Phase 0 to 1

After the opening scenes, complete the tutorial by fighting enemies and learning Yuito's sword and long-range PK attack combos.

Customize controls in the settings menu if desired.

Outside the OSF, explore the city; green objects are chests containing items, mostly healing and consumables.

Locate the save point (man in yellow) and shop (small device) outside the OSF.

Enter the Sumeragi tomb grounds, watch scenes, and then leave.

Proceed ahead, watch more scenes, and fight some Others.

After short scenes, fight two Others, then go south for more scenes.

Engage the sub-boss: a strong, basic enemy that charges and attacks with its horns. Its weak spot is on its back. Dodge its charges and use PK and well-timed weapon attacks on its body. If downed, attack the weak spot. Aerial attacks on the weak spot while it's standing are risky.

After scenes, the Brain Map is unlocked. Use it to learn new abilities, expand/improve existing ones, and buff stats. Yuito tends to learn combat and melee skills earlier than evasive and PK skills.

Return to the OSF headquarters.

Once control is regained, Hanabi joins your party, temporarily adding her gear to your inventory.

Open the world map (Up on d-pad) and go to Kikuchiba. A new brain message is available.

In the Mid-level shopping district, follow the path until a scene.

Advance, defeat enemies, and learn about SAS. Use Hanabi's Pyrokinetic abilities to dispatch enemies and practice using SAS. Collect dropped items from enemies.

Collect any items found along the way.

Continue through the area, defeat enemies, and go up the stairs. Check the alley opposite the stairs for an enemy.

All enemies are marked on the minimap (a small map showing your immediate surroundings).

On the second floor, go below the path ahead to fight flying and ground enemies.

Collect a Normalization tablet from around back.

Find two environment items in the alley, one inside a garage and one on the opposite end; they appear on the minimap.

Backtrack and go up to the next floor.

Find a shop and save point that will heal you and Hanabi.

Continue further, pick up an item, and reach a battle where special object actions are introduced.

Special object actions are followed by a Quick Time Event (QTE), which triggers an attack or effect. Always look for these in battle.

Another bull-like enemy spawns. Use Hanabi's SAS and special object attacks, chaining them with your other attacks. Use jump attacks on its back weak spot, but be wary of its horn attacks.

After the fight, pick up an item in an alley near the stairs going further up.

Go up to the 4th floor, watch scenes, and advance to the objective marker, defeating any enemies along the way.

In the Upper Level Construction site, defeat enemies and use a nearby special attack object.

Go to the eastern alley for an environment item.

Continue up the stairs, defeat enemies, and find another environment item near the plaza.

Remember to expand your Brain Map if you level up.

Continue defeating enemies and reach a fork. Go east for a Normalization tablet, then return to the fork as you cannot proceed yet.

Go up the stairs, find another environment item and a green item.

Continue along the path, defeat a lone enemy, and find another environment item around back. These are referred to as Data spots and are marked on the map.

Take the elevator to the next floor.

Go North to find two Data spots, then continue South.

Find three items: a Normalization tablet, Light jelly, and All: Light jelly.

Locate the shop and save point. Save your game.

Head to the objective marker for a boss fight.

This boss cannot be handled normally. It attacks with its arms when you are close and uses oil attacks that can prevent dodging if hit.
