Scarlet Nexus Kasane Randall Phase 0 to 1 walkthrough, covering the tutorial, Mizuhagawa District, and boss fights. Learn how to use PK attacks and SAS.
Walkthrough
- 1Begin Phase 0 by completing the tutorial, learning Kasane's ranged combat style, chaining weapon and Psychokinesis (PK) attacks.
- 2Explore the city outside the OSF (Other Suppression Force) headquarters; find green objects for items and locate save points and shops.
- 3Proceed to the Sumeragi tomb grounds, watch scenes, and collect an item.
- 4Continue south after more scenes to fight Others.
- 5After fighting two Others, go south for more scenes leading to a sub-boss fight.
- 6Defeat the sub-boss, which charges like a bull and has a weak spot on its back; use dodges and PK attacks, targeting the weak spot when it's downed or using risky aerial attacks.
- 7After scenes, unlock the Brain Map to learn new abilities and improve your moveset; Kasane tends to learn evasive and PK skills first.
- 8Return to the OSF headquarters.
- 9In Phase 1, Shiden joins your party, temporarily adding his gear.
- 10Open the world map (Up on d-pad) and travel to Mizuhagawa District.
- 11Enter the construction site, watch scenes after descending stairs, and proceed to the objective marker.
- 12Engage flying enemies, using SAS (Straight-from-Another-System) with Shiden (electrokinesis) to learn its combat utility.
- 13Defeat the group of Others and continue towards the objective marker, noting that all enemies are marked on the map.
- 14Look for shiny areas called data spots, which contain materials and respawn (be brought back to life at a checkpoint after death) on re-entry; they are marked on the map.
- 15Near a data spot and crane, find an opening in a gate to the left; jumping through (if double jump is unlocked) leads to more data spots, items, and enemies, but is not the main objective.
- 16Follow the circular path to another group of enemies, then reach a save point and an open space.
- 17Survive an ambush by flying enemies that can inflict shock, utilizing special object actions (triggering a QTE for a unique attack or effect).
- 18After defeating the first group, a Wither Sabbath appears; defeat it using a combination of SAS and special object actions.
- 19Proceed to the objective marker near an item and take an elevator down.
- 20Enter an open space and defeat a large group of enemies.
- 21Go up stairs on the north part of the area to reach a hallway-like area with enemies and data spots in a nearby room.
- 22Continue east to a save point, then descend to the open space below for a boss fight.
- 23Dodge the boss's water and swipe attacks, walk under a special action object marker (white triangle), and wait for it to leap.
- 24Dodge away, then use a special object action to break the jar on its back, soaking it in water.
- 25Use SAS with Shiden and attack with both weapon and PK attacks while the boss is shocked.
- 26Repeat the process with the other three special objects nearby until the boss is defeated.
- 27After the boss fight and scenes, use the world map to return to Suoh.
- 28Back in Suoh, head north; after scenes, Shiden leaves and Kyoka joins.
- 29Make your way to headquarters and watch the scenes to unlock quests.
Tips
- You can change controls in the settings menu if they are not to your liking.
- Explore areas thoroughly to find items, especially consumables like healing items.
- Enemies drop useful materials that can be used later.
- Special object actions are powerful and should be used whenever possible, especially against enemies that inflict status effects like shock.
- Data spots are valuable for materials and respawn when you re-enter an area.
- The Brain Map allows for customization of Kasane's abilities and stats; prioritize evasive and PK skills early on.
- Enemies are marked on the minimap (a small map displayed on the HUD (heads-up display — the on-screen icons showing health, ammo and the minimap), or Heads-Up Display, showing your immediate surroundings), so you won't miss them.
