Arrival and Initial Exploration

• Follow Liam: Upon gaining control, simply follow Liam Burke through the university campus. He'll guide you to the science building.
• Campus Collectibles:
  • Radio Show: As you walk, listen to the radio show playing on a nearby bench. This is your first taste of the world's lore.
  • Chronon Source 1: Look for a shimmering distortion near a fountain in the main quad. Interact with it to absorb your first Chronon Source, which are vital for upgrading your abilities later.
  • Email (Liam's Phone): After Liam finishes his call, he'll briefly put his phone down. Interact with it to read an email, providing some backstory on the experiment.
• Entering the Lab: Continue following Liam into the science building and through the corridors until you reach the main lab where Paul Serene is waiting.

The Time Machine Chamber

Once inside the lab, the narrative takes center stage. Your primary objective here is to observe and interact with the environment to piece together what's happening.

• Observe the Setup: Take a moment to look around the impressive time machine chamber. There are several points of interest.
• Interact with Paul: Speak with Paul Serene to advance the dialogue and understand the purpose of the experiment.
• Locate the Control Panel: Paul will direct you to the main control panel for the time machine. Interact with it to initiate the sequence.
• The Experiment Begins: Follow the on-screen prompts as the experiment unfolds. There are no combat encounters here, but the events that transpire are crucial to the plot.
• First Time Stop: When the catastrophic event occurs, you'll experience your first major time stop. This is a scripted event designed to introduce you to the core mechanic of the game.

Aftermath and Escape

The experiment has gone horribly wrong, and the university is in chaos. You'll need to navigate the immediate aftermath.

• Assess the Damage: Look around the ruined lab. There are visual cues and audio logs that explain the immediate consequences of the time machine's malfunction.
• Chronon Source 2: Near the destroyed time machine, another Chronon Source will be visible. Don't miss it!
• Exit the Lab: The path forward will be through a newly opened (or destroyed) section of the lab. Follow the rubble and debris.
• First Encounter with Monarch: As you exit the immediate lab area, you'll likely encounter your first Monarch Solutions security personnel. These early encounters serve as a tutorial for your basic combat abilities. Utilize cover and your newfound time powers (Time Stop, Time Dodge) to dispatch them.
• Path to Campus Escape: Continue through the damaged university halls, dealing with any further Monarch resistance. The path is generally linear at this point, guiding you towards the next section: "Campus Escape."
