Single Player (Scenario) Mode in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 involves battling against AI opponents. This mode offers several difficulty levels, each with a unique set of challenges and opponents.

Beginner Mode: This mode serves as a tutorial, featuring three opponents. It's designed for new players to learn the basics.

Normal Mode: With 13 opponents, Normal Mode increases the game speed as you progress through battles. It offers a moderate challenge.

Difficult Mode: This mode automatically places you at the fourth battle of Normal Mode, providing a significant jump in difficulty.

Characters

• Arle Nadja: A young female spellcaster aiming to thwart Satan's plans.
• Carbuncle: Arle's pet, formerly Satan's pet. He can be found next to player 1's score.

Beginner Mode

• Skeleton T: A tea-loving skeleton. (Difficulty: Very Easy)
• Nasu Grave: A spectacled eggplant that surprises Arle. (Difficulty: Very Easy)
• Mummy: A sad-looking mummy concerned about bandages. (Difficulty: Easy)

Beginner Ending Dialogue: Satan acknowledges your progress and challenges you to face him later, stating he is much stronger.

Normal Mode

• Draco Centauros: A human-dragon hybrid who challenges Arle to a Puyo Puyo match, not a beauty contest. (Difficulty: Easy)
• Suketoudara: A fish with attractive limbs who enjoys dancing. (Difficulty: Easy)
• Sukiyapodes: A short-tempered foot monster who uses a kicking attack. (Difficulty: Easy)

Difficult Mode

• Harpy: A harpy who loves to sing, though not very well. (Difficulty: Normal)
• Sasoriman: A polite scorpion-man wielding a spear. (Difficulty: Normal)
• Panotty: An elf who plays panpipes and gets angry if you don't dance to his music. (Difficulty: Normal)
• Zombie: A foul-smelling zombie that emerges from the ground. (Difficulty: Hard)
• Witch: A hyperactive witch with an irritating laugh. (Difficulty: Hard)
• Zoh Daimaoh: An arrogant elephant-man who guards his territory fiercely. (Difficulty: Hard)
• Schezo Wegey: A dark wizard who seeks to absorb Arle's magical power to rule the Puyo Puyo Jigoku. (Difficulty: Very Hard)
