Exercise Mode, also known as Endless Puyo Puyo Mode, allows one or two players to battle and practice their skills. This mode features three difficulty levels: easiest, normal, and hardest.

- Carbuncle also appears sometimes and can be used. When placed on any colored puyo, it travels downward in a random direction, changing all puyos to that color.
