This guide classifies teammate quality into tiers to help you understand the experience and offers suggestions for finding better teammates.

The author recommends using Discord to find players with similar skill levels and goals, who are more likely to communicate effectively and play as a cohesive unit. Playing with Discord friends can lead to more enjoyable matches and a better chance at achieving the coveted Chicken Dinner. Alternatively, playing with IRL friends is ideal but can be difficult due to the game's challenging nature and a potentially smaller player base.

Teammating Tiers:

1. OVER-FRIENDED!!!: Playing with IRL Friends. This is considered the best-case scenario, though difficult to achieve for many.
2. Discord Friends: Players found through Discord who are familiar, play at similar times, and have comparable skills. This tier offers a high-quality team experience, though leaving a match early might mean staying with friends longer.
3. Discord "Randoms": Players found on Discord who may not be familiar but generally share the same goal, leading to potentially enjoyable matches and opportunities to make new PUBG: Battlegrounds friends.
4. Randoms: Players matched automatically by the game. This tier can be highly unpredictable, with potential issues like poor communication, dropped objectives, and teammates disconnecting.
5. SOLO!!!: Playing alone, for those who prefer a lone-wolf approach.

Ranked Play Note: In Ranked matches, the random player experience is generally less frustrating than in Normal matches, as players tend to be more experienced and serious.
