Dakim Boss Fight Strategy

Master the Dakim boss fight in Pokémon Champions with this expert strategy guide. Learn his weaknesses, attack patterns, and the best team composition to overcome this challenging opponent.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Dakim's Pokémon: Alakazam (Psychic), Gothitelle (Psychic), Reuniclus (Psychic)
• Weaknesses: Dark, Ghost
• Resistances: Fighting, Psychic
• Key Moves: Psychic, Shadow Ball, Focus Blast, Calm Mind

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Alakazam - Dakim starts with his strongest Pokémon. Alakazam is fast and hits hard with Psychic. Use Dark or Ghost types to quickly take it down. Watch out for its Calm Mind boosts.
2. Phase 2: Gothitelle - Gothitelle is slower but has good defensive capabilities. It can set up Trick Room, which reverses turn order. Prioritize Dark and Ghost types here as well, and try to break through its defenses before it can set up too many buffs.
3. Phase 3: Reuniclus - Reuniclus is the bulkiest of Dakim's team. It has access to Recover, making it a bit of a stall tactic. Focus on consistent damage with your Dark and Ghost attackers. If it starts using Calm Mind, try to hit it with a powerful super-effective move before it becomes too strong.

Strategy:

• Team Composition: Bring a strong Dark-type like Grimmsnarl or an Obstagoon. A Ghost-type like Chandelure or Gengar can also be very effective. Consider a Pokémon with good defensive typing that can switch in to absorb a hit, like a Steel-type, if you have one that resists Psychic.
• Opening Moves: Lead with your strongest Dark or Ghost-type. Immediately start attacking Alakazam. If Alakazam uses Calm Mind, try to hit it with a powerful move before it can boost its Special Attack too much.
• Mid-Fight Tactics: When Gothitelle comes out, be mindful of Trick Room. If it sets up, your slower Pokémon will attack first. This can be a double-edged sword, so be prepared. Focus on breaking through its defenses.
• Endgame Push: Reuniclus can be a bit of a slog. If it starts Recovering, try to use moves that hit hard and fast. Don't let it set up Calm Mind too many times, or it will become very difficult to take down.
• Item Usage: Use Full Restores or Max Potions when necessary. Ethers or Elixirs can be helpful if your special attackers are running low on PP for their key moves.
