Guide to completing the final part of Pokémon Scarlet's story, 'The Way Home,' including Area Zero exploration, research station locks, and boss battles.
To continue the final part of the story, called The Way Home, go to Area Zero. At the gate, you will reunite with Arven, Nemona, and Penny before descending into the area.
Note: You can use the map and select a flying point to return to the surface. A flying point within Area Zero also allows for fast travel within the area and back to the gate.
Research Stations
You must visit four research stations located within Area Zero. At each station, you need to disable one of the locks. The stations are encountered as you progress downwards.
Upon reaching the first research station, a dual-type Rock and Poison Pokémon will attack. Use Ground-, Psychic-, Steel-, or Water-type Pokémon. After defeating it, enter the station and interact with the central panel to disable the first lock. A bed is available for resting and healing your Pokémon.
Note: The warp panel inside the research station allows fast travel back to the gate. As you discover more stations, this panel will also enable fast travel between them.
At the second research station, a dual-type Fairy and Psychic Pokémon will attack. Use Steel- or Ghost-type Pokémon. After the battle, enter the station and disable the second lock.
The third research station will trigger an attack from a dual-type Ground and Fighting Pokémon. Use Grass-, Water-, Fairy-, Flying-, or Psychic-type Pokémon. After winning, enter the station and disable the third lock.
You can enter the fourth research station without encountering an immediate Pokémon battle. Disable the fourth and final lock, then proceed to the Zero Lab at the bottom of the area. Interact with the panel inside, but be aware of the dangerous Pokémon within.
The first dangerous Pokémon you'll face is dual-type Ground and Fighting. The second is dual-type Grass and Dark; use Bug-, Fire-, Flying-, Ice-, Poison-, Fairy-, or Fighting-type Pokémon. The third is dual-type Ghost and Fairy; use a Steel-type. After defeating these, you can enter the lab.

Boss Battle 2: Guardian of Paradise Koraidon
The second boss is the Paradise Protection Protocol with one Pokémon: Guardian of Paradise Koraidon (Lv. ??). This battle differs as Poké Balls are unusable, and the standard battle options (Battle, Pokémon, Bag, Run) are initially disabled.
To proceed, select the Pokémon option, locate and select Koraidon (below your regular party), and choose 'Swap in'. Your Koraidon will enter its battle form, re-enabling the Battle and Bag options. Attack the Guardian of Paradise, using Hyper Potions and Max Potions to heal your Koraidon as needed.
After this battle, the story concludes, and the credits will roll.
