Pallet Town - Revisited

Upon arriving in Pallet Town, go speak with Professor Oak. He will take the Parcel from you.

Your Rival will then appear, and Oak will give both you and your Rival 20 Razz Berries each.

As you attempt to leave Pallet Town, your Rival will challenge you to a battle.

If your starter is Pikachu: Your Rival will use a Level 6 Eevee (Normal type) with the moves Tackle and Growl. The reward for winning is $120.

If your starter is Eevee: Your Rival will use a Level 6 Pikachu (Electric type) with the moves Thunder Shock and Growl. The reward for winning is $120.

After defeating your Rival, head towards Route 1.

Talk to the woman standing on Route 1; she is your Rival's older sister. She will give you Sportswear for your partner Pokémon.

Your partner Pokémon will then interrupt, and you will be able to play with it. The game will provide a tutorial on how to pet your partner, depending on your controller. You can pet your partner and feed it a berry if you wish.

Once finished, exit the screen and head back into Route 1.
