Learn the best strategies to quickly defeat the Scornet Maestro in Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Avoid losing Pikmin and master this challenging boss fight.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• The Scornet Maestro has a unique damage cap: no matter how much you hit it after an attack, you can only deal a maximum of a quarter of its total health in damage.

Phases:

1. The fight involves the Scornet Maestro attacking and then becoming vulnerable for a short period.
2. The boss has a special attack where it can grab Pikmin.

Strategy:

• Always pluck extra Pikmin early in the fight to ensure you have a large enough army.
• To make the boss focus on a specific group, separate two captains from your main force. After the Scornet Maestro's second attack, switch control to these two isolated captains. The boss's attention will lock onto them. Once you see it's focused on them, you can switch back to your main army.
• The fastest way to win is to prevent the Scornet Maestro from grabbing any of your Pikmin. Rescuing even a single Pikmin will add precious seconds to your clock, so try to avoid this scenario entirely.
