• The Sandbelching Meerslug is the third boss you'll encounter.
• Its primary attack is burrowing underground and creating a pit, leaving only its mouth visible.
• It can also emerge from the ground with a powerful slam.

Phases:

1. The Meerslug burrows and creates a pit, exposing its mouth.
2. The Meerslug emerges from the ground.
3. The Meerslug explodes from the ground.

Strategy:

• When you start, immediately send any spare captains to gather any unplucked Pikmin nearby.
• Always charge the Meerslug. This is the key to victory. Even when it burrows and only its mouth is showing, use the charge command.
• After you successfully charge the Meerslug, it will often retreat or create a pit. Make sure you and your Pikmin aren't caught in the ensuing chaos.
• Once the Meerslug emerges from the ground, especially after it explodes upwards, quickly whistle your Pikmin to get them to stand up faster. This allows them to resume their attack on the Meerslug more quickly.
• Focus on consistent charging attacks to defeat the boss within the 3:00 time limit for the Platinum Medal.
