How to Beat Goryo

Learn how to effectively counter the Goryo ghost in Phasmophobia. This guide covers its unique behaviors, weaknesses, and the best strategies to survive and gather evidence.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Ghost Type: Goryo
• Weakness: Only visible when looking through a D.O.T.S. Projector.
• Evidence: D.O.T.S., EMF, Freezing Temperatures
• Abilities: Can throw objects, interact with lights, and manifest.

Phases:

1. Phase 1: Investigation - The Goryo will roam the map and interact with objects. Use D.O.T.S. to try and spot it.
2. Phase 2: Hunt - The Goryo will become aggressive and attempt to hunt the player. Its visibility through D.O.T.S. will remain.

Strategy:

• Always have a D.O.T.S. Projector active in the ghost's room or common area.
• Use the Spirit Box to try and provoke interactions and gather evidence.
• If a hunt begins, try to break line of sight and use the D.O.T.S. projector to track its movement.
• Crucifixes are effective at preventing hunts in their radius.
• Be aware that the Goryo can still harm you even if you cannot see it directly.
