Fishing for Joke Weapons: Each time you fish at sea, the first bite will be a joke weapon. These trigger once per sea fishing session. You need to spend at least seven days to get all of them. You must catch a fish or break the line to exit the fishing mini-game after a joke weapon bite. The weapons appear in order:

1. Bus Stop Sign (MC) - 179 Atk, 84 Hit; Rage (high odds)
2. Pinwheel (Yosuke) - 158 Atk, 90 Hit; Poison (high odds)
3. Bat Saucer (Yukiko) - 153 Atk, 91 Hit; Auto-Sukukaja
4. Hyper Drill (Teddie) - 225 Atk; 89 Hit; Auto-Tarukaja
5. Flintlock (Naoto) - 254 Atk, 90 Hit; +30 SP
6. Colored Bench (Kanji) - 305 Atk; 99 Hit; All ailments (low odds)
7. Metal Geta (Chie) - 335 Atk; 90 Hit; Reduce Physical damage by 10%

Note: These items do not consume fishing tries. If you are not interested in joke weapons, throw bait and immediately pull it back to keep your bait.

Fishing at the Beach: Catch 2 Hachiro Octopus, 1 Meguro Tuna, and 3 Sea Guardians.

Sea fish identification:

• Hachiro Octopus: Two ripples.
• Meguro Tuna: Four ripples.
• Sea Guardian: Four ripples and splashing water.

Note on Genji Beetles: If you missed buying Genji Beetles on 8/22, you can still complete the quest. On 11/6, ask the fisherman about bait and catch bugs until you have 3 Genji Beetles. Fish the required items on 11/18. Complete Quest 15 in January by showing the Sea Guardian to the old fisherman.
