Enmerkar Forest is the second most difficult location in Outward 2, featuring strong enemies and a vibe similar to Chersonese during spring. While bandit loot is poor, you might find new plants like woolshroom and smoked root. Garberries are rare, limiting stamina buffs. The town of Berg is easily accessible and the location to join the Blue Chambers Faction.

Locations:

  1. Lonely tower N: Contains a lever to a secret dungeon room. Beware of the ghost enemy, but you can often ignore enemies to loot quickly.
  2. Old Windmill N: Ruined windmill with nothing special.
  3. Fort (Ancestor's Resting Place): Medium-sized dungeon with bandits and insects, leading to an Ornate Chest and a shortcut.
  4. Face of the Ancients: A challenging dungeon with fire-damaged monsters and a frost-damaged Wendigo boss. The boss inflicts chill and has heavy physical and cold damage. Strategies include using poison/bleed or cheesing him through a grate with ranged attacks. The Wendigo drops the Skyrcrown Mace (12 phys, 35 cold, 50 impact). The dungeon also has an Ornate Chest. A fire idol can be returned to an altar for a unique dagger (20/20 phys/fire) or to a researcher for 300 silver.

  12. Royal Manticore Lair: Dungeon south of the manticore fields. Contains manticores and troglodytes. A ledge leads to two locked doors: one requires a Large Emerald for the Zhorn Hunting Backpack (85 weight, -10% stamina consumption), the other needs a Medium Ruby for a palladium vein and torg chest. An Ornate Chest is also in the dungeon.
  13. Cabal of Wind Ruins: Difficult dungeon with at least 5 strong shell horror enemies. A lever near the entrance releases white fires that can kill enemies in the middle room. Lure horrors to this room, pull the lever from the entrance, and if successful, a secret path opens containing an Ornate Chest and the unique Thrice-Wrought Halberd (fire/cold damage).
  14. Old Windmill S: World map location with a low-quality chest.
  15. Immaculate cave: One of four caves containing the Immaculate.
  16. Huge Burning Tree: A landmark with fire elementals nearby.
  17. Bandit Camp: A world map location.
