How to Get Spicyspear

Alright, so you're looking to get your hands on some Spicyspears, huh? They're pretty important for later on in Ooblets, especially if you want to get that hot air balloon working!

First things first, you can't just waltz into Spicyspear Grove. You'll need to unlock Level 2 of the Wildlands. This is done by completing random tasks that pop up. Think along the lines of cleaning up those mysterious cans, adding a specific type of Ooblet to your crew, or finding a lost Ooblet. Just keep chipping away at those Wildland tasks, and you'll get there!

Once you hit Wildlands Level 2, you'll be able to head to a new northern area. There's a ramp that leads you up there. Follow that, and you'll find the Spicyspear plants. They look like little red chili peppers, so keep an eye out for those!

What are Spicyspears used for?

These guys are definitely more of a late-game material. You'll need a good chunk of them, specifically 8, to upgrade Gimble's hot air balloon so you can head to Port Forward. So, yeah, pretty crucial!

On top of that, they're also needed to upgrade your Oobcoops all the way to Level 5. Even if it doesn't seem like you need them right away, it's a good idea to start collecting them often so you have a stash built up. You can also use them in the recipe for the Hop Hop Hop Dob, which is pretty neat.
