Skitterer
Description: A spider-like creature that keeps trying to bite you with its mandibles. It has long, slender limbs that allow it to move quickly.
Weakness: Unlocks after 3 kills. This thing seems to overexert itself when it tries to bite you. If you're able to move out of the way in time, it will sometimes lose its balance leaving it open for you to counter attack.
Bonus: Unlocks after 8 weakness exploits. Increase maximum health by 100.
Mangler
Description: A top heavy, weird fucking thing with big teeth and bigger claws. Luckily it's kind of slow.
Weakness: Unlocks after 4 kills. This thing topples over pretty easily. You just need to wait for it to start coming after you and then land a well-placed shot to send it to the dirt.
Bonus: Unlocks after 10 weakness exploits. Adds a 5% chance to attack twice per attack command.
Bloated Tick
Description: You could have gone your whole life without seeing this thing. It's surprisingly timid, but will attack with blood from its sac.
Weakness: Unlocks after 3 kills. Seems like the slightest bump will cause this thing to explode. If you plan accordingly you can get nearby enemies to get caught in the blast.
Bonus: Unlocks after 6 weakness exploits. Increase all area of effect damage by 10%.
Giant Skitterer
Description: It looks like a normal skitterer, but way bigger, and way more aggressive. Is this an adult form? Or something else?
Weakness: Unlocks after 3 kills. There's a big ball-thing on its tail that seems like a weak spot, but you can't hit it without getting behind it. Maybe if you can stagger it first that will give you the opening you need.
Bonus: Unlocks after 3 weakness exploits. Increase flank damage by 10%.
Clinger
Description: Some kind of worm or snake-like thing. It hides underground and will pop out when you get close. It can sense even the tiniest vibrations.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. A well-aimed stone or shots from behind will knock it down leaving it open to a hit with your axe.
Bonus: Unlocks after 5 weakness exploits. Adds a 10% chance that attacking won't consume stamina.
Tentaclaw
Description: Some kind of deformed slug-like monster. It has tentacles lined with spines that it uses to slap you with and will try to spit from afar.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. If you're not able to kill those things before it recovers from being staggered it's going to call for back up. You need to make sure you can finish it off before that.
Bonus: Unlocks after 6 weakness exploits. Increases weapon damage against staggered enemies by 15%.
Pterashark
Description: A land shark. And it has wings. You thought you were able to handle your fear of sharks by just not going in the water, but I guess that's over now.
Weakness: Unlocks after 3 kills. These things are tough, but seem to overestimate its strength. Your best chance is to shoot it while it's coming after you.
Bonus: Unlocks after 12 weakness exploits. Increase counter hit damage by 10%.
Octoterror
Description: Terrifying at first sight, but it seems to be quite passive. It will rally any other enemies around it as long as it can.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. If it's the last one standing it will just lay down and wait to die. Is it displaying emotion or just trying to manipulate you?
Bonus: Unlocks after 5 weakness exploits. Reduce the energy cost of skills by 10%.
Kraken's Arm
Description: Clingers seem to vary in size. It seems with increased size comes increased aggression. You need to time your shots carefully or you're going to pay for it.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. These things don't go down easily. If you're careful you can bait out its attack by moving in close and a well-timed parry will instantly knock it off balance.
Bonus: Unlocks after 3 weakness exploits. Successful parries inflict 20% of your Brutal attack damage to the enemy.
Great White Pterashark
Description: You were just getting used to seeing sharks walk around and now you find out they get bigger.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. Fast, repeated attacks seem to inflict blood loss which slows it way down. You just need to keep the pressure on.
Bonus: Unlocks after 4 weakness exploits. Increase weapon stagger damage by 10%.
Gluttonous Tick
Description: Looks like any other bloated tick, but you're differentiating these since they seem to have a reckless hunger for blood.
Weakness: Unlocks after 2 kills. If you want the blood explosion to be big and meaningful then you need to wait for it to finish feeding.
Bonus: Unlocks after 1 weakness exploit. Increase maximum energy by 5.
Note: This enemy can only be found in Chapter 2 during the Stalker fight. After causing blood loss on the Stalker, the only tree in the area can be interacted with to summon one. Once it drinks all the blood on the ground, it can be shot. This entry is missable.
Stalker
Description: The Stalker. This thing was probably following you since you got here. Despite its size it seems to prefer hunting its prey even though it could probably just overpower it.
Weakness: Unlocks immediately. It's a combination of techniques, but ultimately it boils down to hitting it fast to inflict blood loss and using the ticks in the area.
