Scattered throughout the urban environment are 'Data Shards'. These glowing blue fragments contain fragments of human history, cultural insights, and even encrypted messages from other AI units. Collecting them is a long-term activity that rewards you with significant 'XP' for your Skill Tree and unlocks new entries in your 'Codex'. Use your 'Environmental Scan' frequently, especially in less-trafficked areas like rooftops, alleyways, and construction sites. Some Data Shards are cleverly hidden and require minor environmental puzzles to reach, such as jumping puzzles or moving objects. There are 150 Data Shards in total across the entire map. Collecting all of them unlocks a special 'Lore Master' achievement and a unique 'Historical Analysis' Utility Protocol, which can reveal hidden details about certain objects or locations in the game world.
