Walkthrough
A comprehensive walkthrough for Night in the Woods, detailing every section, scene, missable notebook sketch, trophy, and achievement. Includes interactive object tables and dreamscape guidance.
This section is a complete walkthrough for Night In The Woods, detailing every section and scene in the game. While it does tell you when a missable Notebook sketch is coming up, if you are only looking for the sketches I recommend checking the 100% Notebook Sketch section of the guide. This walkthrough will also cover most of the possible trophies and achievements as they come up, but for full details please check out the Trophy Guide section.
This walkthrough is meant to be completely comprehensive in nature. In each section, I have tables that list every single object you can interact with and some notes about the interaction. If you can get a notebook sketch or trophy from doing so, it is noted here. If not, it will just be some details about the interaction. Obviously, you do not need to interact with every single object in the game, and if you're interested in only getting through the game then skip the tables entirely. The text under the tables details exactly what you need to do to advance the game, in addition to noting the most interesting interactions from the previous section. It is entirely up to you how you want to play the game, and you can skip nearly everything or talk to every single person you meet along the way.
Additionally, the game occasionally enters some dreamscapes where you need to summon four ghostly musicians by walking up to the spot where they are playing. This guide will detail how to find all of them, and also will provide pictures to show how to find some of the more tricky ones. There are also multiple times in this game where you have to choose which of your friends to hang out with. This will slightly change the ending of the game, but I will describe all of the scenes in case you only want to play the game through once.
If you notice any mistakes or any omissions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks, and enjoy your stay in Possum Springs!

- 2Occasionally, you can move the analog stick (a controller input used for movement) while talking to characters to reveal additional dialogue options.
- 3After the opening scene, you will gain control of Mae at the Bus Station.
- 4Inspect the Mural; Mae is unimpressed with it and Possum Springs.
- 5Inspect the Payphone; the receiver has been stolen.
- 6Inspect the Soda Machine; you cannot get a soda yet, but will be able to after talking to the handyman.
- 7Talk to the Handyman; he is blocking the exit and requires a soda before he will let you pass.
- 8Inspect the Scenery outside the Bus Station.
- 9Inspect the Glass Factory to the left; it is abandoned.

- 13Enter the Woods and inspect the Junk (overturned shopping carts).
- 14Inspect More Junk further left (shopping bags); Mae notes the old saw mill used to be in this area.
- 15Enter the Abandoned Park and inspect the Park, reminiscing about the past.

- 22Return to the Handyman and give him the soda.
- 23After the Handyman leaves, go left into the Woods.
- 24Continue left until you reach fallen logs blocking your path.
- 25Jump on the rock and climb the logs, but you will reach a dead end.
- 26Go to the log hanging off to the right.
- 27Jump on this log a couple of times to make the other logs fall, clearing the path.
- 28Continue left and then go up a sloping branch when you hit a wall.
- 29Climb to the next branch and move left past it.
- 30In the next screen, you will see a dilapidated boat and two wooden pillars labeled 2 and 3.

- 41Inspect the Boxes inside the crawlspace; Mae cannot move them.

- 45Inspect the Bird, which is still alive.
- 46Inspect the Bookshelf, which can be inspected three times to reveal more books and dialogue.
