Attribute System Explained — Mortal Sin Guide

Understand the core attribute system in Mortal Sin: Strength, Dexterity, Intellect, and Vitality, and their impact on your build.

Upon leveling up, you gain attribute points to invest in one of four core stats. Each attribute provides specific benefits:

Attribute System Explained
  • Strength: Increases melee weapon damage, block effectiveness, and carry weight. Essential for Vanguards.
  • Dexterity: Increases ranged weapon damage, critical hit chance, dodge effectiveness, and attack speed. Crucial for Shadowblades.
  • Intellect: Increases spell damage, mana regeneration, and elemental resistance. The primary stat for Arcanists.
  • Vitality: Increases maximum health, health regeneration, and all elemental resistances. Beneficial for all Archetypes, especially early on.

While it's tempting to specialize, a small investment in Vitality is always wise. Consider your chosen Archetype and weapon type when allocating points. For example, a Vanguard should prioritize Strength, but a few points in Vitality will significantly improve survivability.
