Part 31

This fight mirrors the original Metal Gear Solid boss battle. Liquid Snake uses a normal punching combo (R1) and a stronger punch (hold L1, press R1). He also uses headbutts and a charge attack. Stay at a distance to avoid his charge, then quickly strike with a strong punch. Use columns for cover if needed. If too close, use the regular combo to prevent his attacks and land hits. The roundhouse kick at the end of the combo does significant damage.

Liquid Ocelot is the most challenging form. His devastating lunging punch, preceded by the shout "Take this!", is his main threat. Avoid this attack at all costs. After he performs the lunging punch, he leaves himself open. Dodge or back away, then charge in and use a strong punch to knock him down. Focus on defense and only attack when he is vulnerable.

Ocelot uses CQC learned from Big Boss. His CQC combo ends with a head smash, and while most hits do minimal damage, watch out for his headlock grab. Abandon the strong punch as it's too slow and easily countered. Instead, be aggressive and use your weak punching combo (R1) for consistent damage. If you land several hits, press Triangle to finish with an animated CQC attack.

This is not a traditional fight. Both characters move slowly. Simply get close and press R1 to initiate a cinematic punch. Ocelot will also attack similarly if you stand too close for too long. It takes about five hits to make him stop fighting. After this, the game concludes.
