Earn emblems like Big Boss and Fox Hound in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots by meeting strict requirements to unlock powerful weapons and items.
Walkthrough
- 1There are forty emblems in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which are rankings awarded after completing the game.
- 2You can earn multiple emblems in a single playthrough.
- 3Emblems are earned by fulfilling specific requirements, which occasionally yield rewards.
Tips
- The Oil Drum can be tipped over and rolled in, but rolling for too long will cause Snake to throw up.
- The Scan Plug, available from Drebin after playing Metal Gear Online for over ten hours, shows enemy locations on the minimap (a display showing your immediate surroundings) after they've been scanned via CQC (Close Quarters Combat).
- The Signal Interceptor allows Snake to listen to PMC radio conversations in Act Three to locate resistance members, but Otacon offers better options.
- The Solid Eye is a highly useful item that targets enemies and items, enables the use of the radar (a display showing enemy positions and your surroundings), and has night vision and binoculars modes accessible via the item menu.
- Stealth Camouflage makes Snake invisible to enemy soldiers, but Gekkos and Scarabs can still see him, and he can still be heard. Running through an enemy or being in an alert phase (when enemies are actively searching for you) will disable it. You can obtain it by completing the game without any alerts or by purchasing it from Drebin for five million Drebin Points.
