Alright, so you've made it to the final boss in Mission Mode, and it's none other than Wiggler! This guy is HUGE and just bulldozes through all the traffic, plus he's way faster than you. This is a full 3-lap race, so buckle up!

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Wiggler is massive and plows through traffic.
• He moves significantly faster than the player.
• After lap 3, he turns red and becomes even faster, taking shortcuts.

Phases:

1. Lap 1-3: Standard race against Wiggler.
2. Post Lap 3: Wiggler turns red and accelerates, using shortcuts.

Strategy:

• The item boxes on this course only contain Stars. Make sure you grab every single one you can!
• Important: Don't try to ram Wiggler directly with a Star; it won't work.
• Keep an eye out for small trucks driving on the track. If you hit one while you're powered up with a Star, you'll get a Mushroom! You can even see the item box inside the truck on the touch screen.
• The best way to handle this is to start with a turbo boost. Grab your first Star, then ram a truck to get that Mushroom. Grab the next item box, and repeat the process.
• If you follow this method, you should build up a solid lead and have no trouble beating Wiggler.
• If you find yourself falling behind, be aware that Wiggler is much faster. After the third lap, he gets even quicker and will start taking the shortcut over the hill after the first tunnel.
• With the Star/Mushroom strategy, you shouldn't even need to worry about that shortcut, as you'll have a big enough lead already.
