    Approach and interact with a floating red crystal (a Checkpoint Crystal).

    Choose to bank accrued XP, purchase Spell/Attribute points, and level up your character, Harkyn.

    Choose to save your current progress and refill some of your potions. The number of potions refilled equals the number of shards rotating around the Checkpoint Crystal, up to a maximum of 4. This action will reset your XP multiplier.

    To save your current progress without resetting the XP modifier, simultaneously click the left stick and press 'Triangle' (on PlayStation) or 'Y' (on Xbox). This method will not restore any potions.

    Upon dying, you will resume at the last activated Checkpoint Crystal or the entry area if you are travelling between maps.
Tips
  • Activating a Checkpoint Crystal saves your progress and refills potions, but resets your XP multiplier.
  • You can save progress without refilling potions or resetting your XP multiplier by using a specific button combination (left stick + Triangle/Y).
  • The number of potions you receive when refilling is determined by the rotating shards around the crystal, capped at 4.
