Guide to finding all Memories in the 'I'm Okay' chapter of Life is Strange: True Colors. Learn how to collect emotional memories and uncover hidden conversations.
Whew. Well, while Alex (and you, presumably) recover from that, it's time to explore. Got a few big things here to check out!
As you may have noticed at the top of this section, we can finally start finding collectibles! As I briefly mentioned earlier in the "Welcome Home" scene, there are objects every so often that have emotions, and therefore memories, attached to them. By approaching them, holding the left trigger (L2), and holding A (X) with the trigger still held, you can hear a brief conversation involving that object. That memory will then be catalogued in the same screen where you can view Alex's texts and such. They are kept in a new tab separate from the journal, appropriately titled "Memories". If you ever want to listen to the memory again, just find the memory under the name of the person it belonged to, click on the person's name, flip to the page that has the memory on it, and then press A (X). Alex will also record her thoughts on each memory she comes across, often elaborating further on details relating to it.
Memory #1: Crack - Gabe
Immediately when you gain control of Alex, you can turn the camera behind her to the right, near the bathroom she just came out of. Your first memory is at the bottom of the wall, between the bike pump and the end table.
The second one isn't far away, either.
Memory #2: Riley Letter - Mac
Head into the main part of the room and you'll see a desk across from the foot of what is now Alex's bed. On the right side of the desk is a letter.
Don't move away from the desk just yet!
Minor Decision
This is another one of those not-a-decision, just-find-the-thing deals. Open the drawer in the front of the desk and you'll find a file detailing some of the lengths Gabe has gone to in hopes of tracking down his long lost little sister.
Facing the bed, to the left of it you can find a dresser. Feel free to change Alex's outfit to whatever you want! You'll have 4 options by default (including the one Alex currently is wearing). If you also have the "Alex Outfit Pack" and the "Life is Strange Hero Outfit Pack", you'll have a couple extra options. Please note, each of those packs comes with four additional outfits, but you can only choose one from each pack at a time. Alex's style will change periodically throughout the game from wearing a hoodie with a denim jacket, to a flannel button-down, for example. Each one of these styles will have different options that you can pick from, which is how the rest of the extra DLC outfits fit in.
One last big thing to note is that large object located somewhere between the staircase and the bathroom door. That's right. Alex has a freaking arcade cabinet in her new room. My inner child is incredibly jealous. And yes, it's a fully playable minigame. This game is called "Mine Haunt!" and, well... I'm not great at arcade games, so I find it pretty difficult, but still pretty fun! If you find it too hard, or you're just not interested, don't worry -- it's not tied to any trophies/achievements or Minor Decisions in any way. Just for fun. If you play well enough to get on the high score list, Alex will automatically fill in her name as ALX. I may eventually update this guide to cover tips on the game, but that'll be something for another time. Interestingly, I did recently hear about a couple secrets in this arcade game, which is something I'll have to investigate for myself!
And finally, you're otherwise free to check out all the knickknacks around the place at your leisure. For a small trivia note, I'd like to point out the board game on the shelf in the entryway, near the giant-ass "Boats" sign. This is a copy of the same board game that Chloe and Max were debating getting rid of at the beginning of the "Farewell" bonus episode in Life is Strange: Before the Storm. I thought that was pretty cool. :]
Once you're all done exploring and ready to move on, start unpacking the duffel bag next to Alex's bed... but wait, there's more! After you unpack Alex's stuffed mousey friend, you'll be able to finally read Ethan's comic that he gave you earlier. It's a shame there's no color on the pages, but the drawings themselves are actually surprisingly good. Like I said, the kid's got talent! We might have the future next Emily Eriksen right here in Haven Springs.
When you've finished introducing yourself to the adventures of Thaynor, there's just a few more things left to unpack from the duffel, last of which is the journal. Alex mentions adding her "latest meltdown", which lets you know that whenever there's a major empathy-power moment in the game, Alex will update the "Journal" section of the menu with another page you may read at your leisure for more of her thoughts. This first time, Alex will open it up to that page automatically, but it'll be up to you to check it out in the future whenever you're interested. Like with MyBlock and SMS messages, I won't be mentioning any further journal entries in this walkthrough, but just keep them in mind!
After the journal, Alex will decide to call it quits for now and unpack the rest later... until she discovers a little something Gabe left for her as a surprise. Enjoy Alex's cover of Radiohead, try not to cry, cry a lot, When you're ready, it's time to head downstairs.
