Begin your adventure in Immortals Fenyx Rising by navigating the initial menus, selecting your difficulty, and customizing your character. Learn basic movement and combat controls.
Walkthrough
- 1From the title menu, select 'New Game'.
- 2Choose your desired difficulty setting (Story, Easy, Normal, Hard, Nightmare). You can change this later in the options menu.
- 3Enjoy the opening cutscenes.
- 4Create your character. The customization options lean towards a female character.
- 5After character creation, you'll gain control of Fenyx in the Clashing Rocks region, specifically on 'A Stranger Shore'.
- 6Familiarize yourself with movement controls: Jump (X), Dodge (Square), and open the Hub Menu (Touchpad).
- 7The Hub Menu displays your items, gear, world map, and skills.
- 8Note the stamina bar (blue) which depletes when climbing or swimming. Running out will cause you to fall or drown and take damage.
- 9Your health bar (red) regenerates over time, depending on difficulty.
- 10Follow the compass to the objective marker.
- 11Climb the wall and proceed until another scene plays.
- 12You can pick up blue mushrooms (replenish stamina) and Pomegranates (restore health) found near trees and statues.
- 13Head towards the destroyed buildings and collect the sword to proceed.
- 14Engage in a tutorial battle using R1 to attack and Square to dodge. Use R3 to lock onto enemies.
- 15After the tutorial, you can use your weapon to attack enemies and break objects for materials. Your skill tree will also update.
- 16Continue following the compass towards the 'Messenger of the gods' (Hermes statue).
- 17Climb the giant Hermes statue, using ledges to recover stamina.
- 18On his shoulders, walk to the arm holding the staff and collect the glowing crystal – this is Ambrosia, used later.
- 19Climb Hermes's head and press Triangle to scout the area.
- 20You can now use 'Farsight' by holding R3. This allows you to move a cursor around the area to reveal hidden items like chests, myth challenges, and ambrosia. Use R2 to reveal them.
- 21The world map in the Hub Menu shows revealed icons and their meanings. Some icons may require you to be closer to reveal them.
- 22Jump into the pond below Hermes to proceed; climbing down is much slower.
- 23In the 'Life and Death' section, continue following story objectives as your current abilities are limited. Cleared objectives will be marked on the map.
