General Tips

Complete as many myth challenges and open as many chests as possible to gather resources for unlocking more skills, stamina, and health, and for upgrading your gear.

Collect any and all ingredients you find.

Spend your Charon coins primarily on the two traversal skills costing coins first, as they will make exploration much easier.

After acquiring traversal skills, focus mainly on godly powers, particularly Ares' Wrath, Athena's Dash, and Phosphor.

Ares' Wrath is effective for both vaults and combat. In combat, it serves as a go-to stun method and a great area-of-effect (AOE) attack when its skill tree is fully unlocked. In puzzles and vaults, it can be used with the Ares method.

The Ares method involves double jumping and gliding, then using Ares' Wrath to increase height before continuing to glide. This is not viable until you have at least 8 stamina, but it is incredibly useful in many vaults and is a requirement in some. It is also used in normal puzzles where you need to jump higher than normal.

Athena's Dash is very useful for bashing into enemies and stunning them after Ares' Wrath is insufficient. Outside of combat, it can be used as a fast dash to bypass a barrier or closing door, or when laser immunity is learned, to avoid laser damage entirely.

Phosphor is very useful throughout the game and recommended to acquire as soon as possible. His cloaking ability allows for better sneak attacks. His clone ability is excellent for puzzles involving pedestals. His normal bombardment attack is excellent, and giving him skins to change its appearance can make it very useful.

Fight bosses and hidden bosses as much as possible, as they provide good practice and are sources of Red Adamantine Shards, Phosphor skins, and wings.

The recommended region order for ease of play is: Clashing Rocks to Valley of Eternal Spring to Grove of Kleos to The Forgelands to War's Den to King's Peak to Gates of Tartaros. You can complete regions in any order, but this sequence can make your experience smoother.

Do not neglect heroic tasks, as they will help increase your supply of materials and upgrade items.

If playing on hard difficulty, try to avoid skipping content as much as possible. Otherwise, play as you see fit.

Potions are very powerful; the game becomes significantly easier combat-wise once you have them and begin upgrading them.

A recommended build includes the Brood of Typhon helmet (or Winged Helmet of the Eagle for damage at full health, or any Divinity Helm) which triples damage at a fixed chance. Use the Breastplate of the Eagle armor for easy high combos at max health, along with health and buff potions. The Axe and Sword should be your starting default weapons, as at level 6 (or mastery), they deal significant damage.
