How to Upgrade the Blacksmith

Learn how to upgrade Victor, the blacksmith, in Hell is Us by finding all four Lymbic Forging Books. Detailed locations for each book are provided.

To upgrade Victor, the blacksmith, in Hell is Us, you need to find four Lymbic Forging Books. Each book increases your equipment upgrade level and crafting capabilities. Once found, approach Victor and select 'Study' to hand over the books and improve his services.

Blacksmith Location

Victor, the blacksmith, is located in the second explorable area, Acasa Marshes. Upon first entering Acasa Marshes, follow the linear path from your APC in the forest, cross the northern wooden bridge, and continue northwest towards the town of Jova. On the road outside Jova, cross the northeast bridge and follow the road past the pylon until you reach a clearing. Look to your right to find a tunnel. Enter the tunnel, defeat the enemies, and proceed to the back. A door on your right leads to Victor. Initially, you must complete a favor for him (enter Vitalis’ home). After this, he will appear in Jova, opposite Vitalis’ home.

There are four Lymbic Forging Books to find:

Lymbic Imbuing Book Location

This book is found in a Car Trunk in Acasa Marshes. Exit Jova via the north exit and head towards the ruins near the science camp, crossing the marsh bridges. Near the ruins, locate a partially submerged car. This car is locked and requires the Key Item: Keys - Car, found on the balcony of Vitalis’ Home. This key is part of Victor’s Vigil Good Deed.

Fundamentals of Lymbic Forging Book Location

Travel to Lake Cynon and complete the Lake Cynon Reservoir Puzzle to access the Lymbic Forge, the final dungeon of Act 1. Be aware that completing this dungeon may void some Good Deeds. At the bottom of the forge, use the nearby lever to open a coffin containing the book.

Advanced Lymbic Forging Book Location

Head to the Arcas Spire in the Senedra Forest, an area you will visit while searching for the Keystone. The book is located at the very top of the spire, at the end of the grand staircase. Interact with the door leading to the roof to obtain the book.

Ancient Lymbic Forging Book Location

This book is found in the Temple of the Fallen, accessible after progressing the story to Act 2 when hunting the Ecstasy Keystone. After completing the second pressure pad puzzle, proceed to the next room. Before the next door, you will find a Lymbic Puzzle to your left and a chest to your right. The chest contains the Ancient Lymbic Forging Book.
