Part 7

Begin in the "Captive Freight" chapter. Reach a room with a ladder, climb it, and crouch-walk to the center of a sandbag wall next to a military truck.

Equip the shotgun and crouch-walk around the right side of the wall to destroy the first turret.

Crouch-walk to the other side of the wall and destroy the second turret.

Stand up, go to the back of the truck, jump in, collect bullets and explosives, and bash the crate for a health pack.

Exit the truck and proceed to large semicircular doors. Use the control panel to the right to open them.

Go down the tunnel until you find a car with a dead security guard. Collect the .357 Magnum, ammo box, vest, and helmet from next to the guard.

Open the back of the car using the "Use item" key, crouch-jump inside, and collect shotgun shells and a health pack.

Exit the car and go to the nearby concrete platform.

Use the crowbar to break the padlock on the fence door. Go through and use the "Use item" key on the wheel until it stops moving.

Get out your pistol and climb down the ladder in the opened vertical shaft. Before going too far, face away from the ladder, look down, and continue climbing. The ladder will break, and you will fall into section ba_yard2.

Upon landing, immediately shoot the nearby headcrab.

Run to where the first headcrab was, turn, and shoot the second headcrab down the tunnel to the left before it leaps.

Move along the tunnel to a room with a closed door. Use the wheel to the right of the door to open it.

Proceed to the next corner, where a headcrab is located. Approach with your pistol, back up when it sees you, and shoot it after it leaps.

At the next corner, shoot the headcrab near the steam. Crouch-walk along the left side of the tunnel past the first steam jet.

Turn right, crouch-walk to a wheel on a steam pipe, and wait for all steam jets to disappear.

Continue until you reach another room with a closed door, which is flooded. The wheel to open the door is underwater to the right of the door. Use your flashlight if needed.

After going through the door, quicksave. As you approach the next corner, get out your shotgun. Two bullsquids are ahead.

Run toward the first bullsquid while strafing to dodge its spit until the second bullsquid (on the right) sees you.

Quickly run backward while still strafing, then go around the corner and wait for a bullsquid to follow. Blast it with the shotgun. Be ready to dodge and shoot if it survives.

Alternatively, crouch-walk to sneak-shoot each bullsquid with the pistol, or lure and shotgun them while backing up and dodging. The .357 Magnum can also be used for quicker kills.

Slowly move along the right side of the second bullsquid's tunnel with your flashlight on until you see explosive barrels in a small fence room ahead and to the left.

Shoot one barrel with the pistol to blow them up, killing one headcrab and injuring another.

Lure the injured headcrab (on the right, near the lift) to see you, back up, and shoot it with the pistol after it leaps.

Get on the lift and use its button panel to go up to a warehouse basement.

In the warehouse basement, move to the lift's front left corner and shoot a headcrab on a wooden crate to the right.

Move forward slightly from the lift to lure the second headcrab, then run back onto the lift and shoot it when it walks into view.

Leave the lift and look left. Use your flashlight to find a large oil spill on the floor and a breakable grating directly above it.

Shoot the grating twice with the pistol, then kill the two headcrabs that drop down one at a time.

Go past the oil spill to reach section ba_yard3a.

Get out your shotgun and quicksave. Go around the corner and forward until a vortigaunt teleports in.

Run forward and double-barrel the vortigaunt. Quickly run backward as two more vortigaunts teleport into the hallway on the right.

Quicksave, then round the corner and shoot the nearest vortigaunt. Back up for cover, then peek around the corner for another shot. Continue this until all vortigaunts are defeated.
