Walkthrough:

  1. 3.5a Wend your way to the Auto gun and make it shut up
    • From inside the repair shop, climb the stairs and exit after the rebel opens the door.
    • Use the Gravity Gun (GGP+) on the boards covering the window, then use the Gravity Gun (GG_/) to throw a cinder block at the Zapper Beetle (ZB). This usually destroys it and any enemies near it.
    • Drop into the room, hop out the window, and sprint towards the stake bed dump truck. Climb over the truck to reach the roof.
    • Enter the second floor, locate the XP (experience points), and exit.
    • Ignore the Zombies (Zs) and locate the culvert pipe past the van with the Scanner (SC) on top.
    • Crouch to avoid the auto gun and creep to the pipe. Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on the Scanner (SC) inside the culvert pipe and shoot the flaming Plasma Sentry (PS) that appears at the far side of the pipe.
    • Remain in a crouched position. Use the Gravity Gun (KB) on the next Scanner (SC). Peek-a-Boo the Mortar Gunner (MGT) location along the fence to your right.
    • Toss a Grenade (G) to the MGT location. Listen and look for the MGT "tilt" sound (moment of sustained rapid fire) and/or a flying MGT before exposing Gordon's position.
    • Continue creeping along the path toward the building at your 12:00.
    • From a distance, use the Gravity Gun (GGP-/+) a barrel through window #1 to the right of the truck abutting the building. This will activate the AI and clear the glass.
    • Listen for Barnacle Grubs (BGs) as you approach the building.
    • Stand beside the truck. Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on tire #1 from the right of window #1, then sidestep right into the plane of window #1 to use the Gravity Gun (GGP+) on the Barnacle Grub (BG #1) at the rear of the room or just entering, then return to the side of the truck.
    • Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on tire #2. Move back into the plane of window #1 to use the Gravity Gun (GGP+) on Barnacle Grub (BG #2).
    • Hop through the opening and crouch. Immediately creep over to and below window #2, then face the XP. Switch to the Shotgun (SG) and Rapid Fire/Shotgun (RT/SG) Barnacle Grub (BG #3) as it appears in the opening.
    • Note: Using the tires will prevent you from inadvertently destroying the rectangular crate near window #2 with Grenades (G) or Shotgun (SG) rounds.
    • Climbing the Fence (Choose one method):
      • Method 1: Pick the room clean, exit, then use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on 2 square crates and drop them out window #2. Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on the rectangular crate and carry it out and over to the perimeter wall where the fence and concrete come together. Ensure you lower the rectangle so that it remains standing. Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on the pallet from the long end. Place the pallet against the 12:00 fence so that its right side is within a foot to the left of the concrete wall corner blocks. Stack the rectangular crate tall side up and against the 12:00 fence, then place square crate #1 on top of it. Use the Gravity Gun (GGP-) on crate #2, face the 12:00 fence and crate #1, then place crate #2 on the pallet and against the rectangular crate.
      • Method 2: Follow the same instructions as #1 but instead of placing square crate #2 on the pallet and against the rectangular crate, slide it against the pallet and inline with the rectangle, then place crate #3 between the rectangle and crate #2. It will rotate 45 degrees and act as a ramp to crate #1.
