Unlock all achievements in Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition. Learn about automatic and event achievements, including combo challenges and specific combat feats.

Alright, let's dive into Part 14 of our Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition guide. This section focuses on the game's achievements, breaking them down into two main categories: Automatic and Event. We'll also cover some of the special costume abilities you can unlock.

Costumes & Abilities:

  • El Portero: This costume doubles the damage of your throws and sends enemies flying much further, but all your non-throw attacks deal half damage.
  • Alebrije: Acquired by earning 10 silver medals in El Infierno. This costume makes you deal double damage but also take double damage, leading to faster fights.
  • Diablo's Suit: Acquired by earning 10 gold medals in El Infierno. This costume gives you an extra unit of stamina, halves your maximum health, and allows you to heal for 0.5x the damage dealt with melee attacks.

Achievements:

Automatic Achievements (Mandatory):

  1. Why all the long faces?: Earned the first time Calaca kills you.
  2. Viva La Resurrección: Earned upon donning The Mask.
  3. A Hero is Born: Earned upon completing the fight in the church.
  4. Want us to untie you?: Earned after talking to a Goat after bashing a Choozo statue in the Forest del Chivo.
  5. My First Power Move: Earned by destroying a red block using the Uppercut.
  6. We built this city on Guac and Roll: Earned after reaching Santa Luchita for the first time.
  7. Nap Time's Over: Earned by breaking the red block near the head of the Alebrije.
  8. Thick headed: Earned by destroying a yellow block using the Headbutt.
  9. That's one big Gato Frito: Earned by surviving the Alebrije's rampage at the top of the Temple of Rain.
  10. Belly Flop: Earned by destroying a green block using the Slam, specifically the one where you learn the move.
  11. Cock of the Walk: Earned by defeating an enemy as a chicken after being transformed in la Desierto Caliente.
  12. X'tabay-Bye: Earned by defeating X'tabay.

Event Achievements (Optional):

  1. All Cooped Up: Earned by completing the Chicken Herding sidequest in Pueblucho.
  2. Flawless: Earned by defeating an arena without taking any damage.
  3. Wheeee: Earned by teleporting through an Olmec head. The best time to do this is right after defeating the Alebrije.
  4. GREETINGS, FELLOW CHICKEN: While wearing the Pollo costume, talk to all four giant chickens with green sombreros in one playthrough. These are located in the Forest del Chivo, the Alebrije's room in the Temple of Rain, and two other locations.
  5. Combo Nerd / The Never Ending Combo: These achievements require achieving 150 and 300 hit combos, respectively. In the PC version, shielded enemies don't add to combos. Good spots to attempt these are the arena just before Santa Luchita or during the final boss battle, where the combo counter doesn't reset over time. Note that El Infierno challenges do not count towards these.
  6. Stop squirming: Earned by defeating an Alux using only the Headbutt. Aluxes have 40 HP, and the Headbutt deals 40 damage. An optional arena in the Great Temple features yellow-shielded Aluxes, making this achievement mandatory there.
  7. That's using your head: Earned by using the knockback from the Headbutt to push an enemy off a cliff or into a reset zone. An arena in the Great Temple with yellow-shielded enemies and a large hole is ideal, but other locations work too.
  8. I swat you: Earned by defeating a Chupacabra using only the Frog Slam. This requires 5 hits. It can be tricky to land the first hit due to their flight pattern, but chaining hits after the first connects is easier.
  9. Boomerang: Earned by defeating an enemy with its own projectile.
