Hung Out to Dry

Follow our guide for the 'Hung Out to Dry' mission in GTA IV. Learn how to track down the laundromat owner and make him pay Vlad Glebov.

Alright, so Vlad's got another guy who owes him money, and it's your job to go remind him. This time it's a laundromat owner who's being a real pain. You'll find Vlad at the Comrades Bar, same as usual. He'll tell you the guy is on Masterson Street and thinks he can just ignore Vlad. Classic. Mission Objectives: * Head over to the laundromat. * Chase down the shopkeeper. * Ram his van until he stops. Walkthrough: After Vlad gives you the rundown, you'll head over to the laundromat. As soon as you walk in, the owner is gonna freak out and throw a basket of laundry at you to slow you down. Sneaky, right? He'll then bolt out the back and jump into his laundromat van. Your first instinct might be to chase him on foot, but he'll get away quickly. You'll need to grab a car. Once you're in a vehicle, chase him down. He's not going to stop easily, so you'll have to ram his van pretty hard. Keep at it until he finally pulls over and gives up. You'll then have a little chat with him, making sure he understands Vlad wants his money. After that, you'll call Vlad to let him know the job's done. Transcript Highlights: * Vlad tells you the laundromat owner is a "Muscovski jerk" who thinks he can ignore the rules. * He warns you, "If you see a cop, you don't know me." * Niko replies, "I see anyone, I don't know you." * When you confront the owner, he'll throw laundry at you and flee in his van. * During the chase, Niko will say things like, "Pull over your van" and "I'll ram you off the road." * After you stop him, Niko makes it clear the owner needs to pay up, or else. * The owner, surprisingly, understands and agrees to pay Vlad. * Finally, you call Vlad to confirm the owner got the message.
