Understand FF, FR, MR, and RR drivetrains in Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec. Learn about their handling characteristics like understeer and oversteer.

FF - Front engine, Front wheel drive: These cars tend to understeer.

FR - Front engine, Rear wheel drive: These cars tend to oversteer, making them lots of fun for drifting.

MR - Mid engine: This configuration places the engine after the front axle and before the rear axle. MR cars are the best for cornering because the bulk of the car's mass is in the middle. They tend to oversteer a little and can be difficult to recover from once the tail sticks out too much.

RR - Rear engine, Rear wheel drive: These cars tend to understeer as the weight of the car tends to lift the front, not giving the front tires enough weight for traction.
