Master Golf With Your Friends Part 2 with our comprehensive guide. Learn about club sets, VS characters, tournament strategies, and unlocking new abilities.
As you level up in Golf With Your Friends, you'll unlock various club sets. These include Big Air clubs for increased distance, Pin Hole clubs for better control, Turbo Spin clubs for enhanced backspin, and the Infinity Club, which boosts both power and control but suffers from impact. Infinity clubs are only available after reaching Rank 2. The Beginner's ball can help mitigate impact, though it slightly reduces power.
Higher grades of each club set (from grade 5 down to grade 1) can be obtained by winning randomly triggered tours.
Always play with Normal Cups, as they are key to unlocking secret VS characters and trophies through official tours. The OUT course in Eagle City is relatively easy and short. Focus on improving the power and control of your woods and other clubs. Making putts of 15 feet or higher from the green will enhance your putter's Back Door ability. Aim for chip-ins with your AW (approach wedge).
When putting, a general rule is to add an extra foot of distance for every 0.1 indicated on the screen, for both downhill and uphill putts. Longer putts with tricky green reads are challenging, so do your best. You can press the square button to gain extra distance on putts without it counting as a power shot.
Winning a tournament grants EXP to meet your first VS character, who will appear at the stage. Upon returning to the Home Area, Hikari will explain how Match Play format tours work.

Your first VS opponent is Tomomi from the EG Girls. She and Hikari will explain that hitting at 95% or higher extends club distance. Defeating Tomomi rewards you with her entire wardrobe, voiceover, and selectable character options. Some characters also grant new shot types.
Allow Tomomi to win the first match to obtain the Cutscene (Loss) BGM at the Library, then defeat her in a subsequent match. Beating challenge tourney golfers by 3 shots or more adds them to your gallery. You can then copy their appearance, but it's advisable to defeat VS characters first, as parts, voiceovers, and body parts are costly and coins are scarce early on. Online play yields fewer coins. To acquire all parts, focus on Rank 1 tournaments until you have them all. This also builds stats and provides coins for Lucky Dip Boxes, preparing you for VS matches.
After Tomomi, win another challenge tourney to face Gabriel, a young player who discusses backspin with Specs. Gabriel uses a Beginner's Ball. Defeating him earns you the Body: Male 3, his parts, voiceover, and the Type 8 swing.
Win another challenge tourney to meet Cindy, a member of Team Euro and your first boss character. Hikari and Specs will discuss Control and Power Mode. You'll then participate in a match with Auto Impact rules, which is a unique occurrence.
