This section covers new courses unlocked at higher ranks and the fishing mini-game in Golf With Your Friends.

Courses Unlocked by Rank:

1. Kanaloa Beach G.R. (Unlocks at Rank 4): Features two challenging par 5s on the OUT course and a tricky hole 14 on the IN course with OB potential due to slopes and an overhead rock formation.
2. Vortex Valley G.C. (Unlocks at Rank 5): Known for its cliffsides, the IN course's hole 6 has a severe downhill slope that can easily send the ball out of bounds if hit too far past the green.
3. Imperial Garden (Unlocks at Special Rank): Considered one of the hardest courses, offering a true test for players aiming for birdies and eagles.
4. Green C.C. (DLC): The first course from the original Hot Shots Golf, featuring easy fairways but challenging greens. Unlocked upon installation and appears in tournaments from Rank 1.
5. Balata C.C. (DLC): From the second Hot Shots Golf game, easier than Green C.C. but with potentially stronger winds (up to 6.0m). Appears in tournaments from Rank 1.
6. Nam Rang Bay C.C. (DLC): More difficult than Kanaloa Beach, with numerous water traps. Hole 18 presents one of the game's toughest par 5s. Appears in tournaments from Rank 4.
7. Pine Hills G.C. (DLC): The longest course in the game, featuring the hardest par 3 at hole 8 and generally tough holes. Appears in tournaments from Rank 6 and Special Rank.
8. Akigase Keikoku C.C. (DLC): Described as harder than Imperial Garden and Pine Hills, with tricky slopes and strong winds (up to 8.0m). Only appears in tournaments at Special Rank.

Fishing Mini-Game:

Unlocks after defeating Kato at Rank 4. Renting rods and bait requires coins. Higher-level gear is recommended if you have enough coins. Fish appear unexpectedly to take the bait. Raising your fishing level unlocks more spots in the Home Area and open courses.

Fishing Spots & Fish:

• Home Fishing Spot (Freshwater): Unlocked immediately. Fish: Crayfish (1), Goldfish (1), Loach (2), Rice Fish (0). Rare Fish: Koi Carp (Red/White) (6). Good for coins, with rare fish dropping up to 500 coins.
• Home Fishing Spot (Saltwater): Unlocks at Level 8. Fish: Blue-Green Damselfish (5), Horse Mackerel (2), Ray (4), South American Pilchard (1). Rare Fish: Clown Fish (8), Spiny Lobster (8). Rays are large fish. Rare fish can drop Triple Precision balls.
• Eagle City (OUT) - Fishing Spot 1: Unlocked immediately. Same fish as Home Area Freshwater. .
• Eagle City (OUT) - Fishing Spot 2: Unlocks at Level 2. Fish: Crayfish (1), Crucian Carp (2), Loach (2), Rice Fish (0). .

Rare Fish & Drops:

Rare fish can drop various items including coins (30-1000), gems (1-3), Ultra Approach Ball, Super Low Ball, 100-60 Ball, Triple Precision Ball, and Turf War Medal Tokens. Higher rarity fish yield more coins. Special Rank Kato must be defeated to unlock deluxe bait for catching rare fish with question marks.

Important Note: As of September 30th, 2022, fishing spots other than the Home Area and Eagle City spots are no longer available, making the fishing trophy potentially missable.
