Skill Details and Upgrades:

Piloting - Gain 1 experience point when an enemy weapon or asteroid misses your ship while a crewmember is in the pilot chair. The first upgrade grants +2% evasion, and the second upgrade adds another +3% evasion (5% total).

Engines - Gain 1 experience point when an enemy weapon or asteroid misses your ship while a crewmember is manning the Engines. Upgrades provide the same evasion bonuses as Piloting: +2% for the first, and +3% for the second (5% total).

Shields - Gain 1 experience point when an enemy weapon or asteroid hits a shield layer while a crewmember is manning the Shields. The first upgrade speeds up shield recharge by 20%, and the second upgrade increases it to 30% faster than normal.

Weapons - Gain 1 experience point each time a weapon is fired while a crewmember is manning Weapon Control. The first upgrade reduces weapon charge time by 15%, and the second upgrade reduces it by 20%.

Repairs - Gain 1 experience point for every bar of a damaged system repaired by a crewmember. The first upgrade speeds up repairs by 10%, and the second upgrade increases repair speed by 20%.

Combat - Gain 1 experience point when a crewmember kills an enemy crewmember or deals the final blow to a ship system. The first upgrade grants a 10% damage bonus, and the second upgrade increases this bonus to 20%.
